You may have noticed my previous post about how I manage the huge number of stories. Since then, FiMFiction added the Library, which is an amazing update. Here's how I manage things now.
The Favorite list is now used only for complete stories that I really like. I try to only add the best stories here. When recommending stories to friends, I look at this list.
I read a lot of pony fanfiction. However, after some very simple, second grade level statistics, I have reached the conclusion that I am adding more stories to my read later list than I read.
I've always liked to complete things and not leave anything unexplored. I used to see an interesting fic and put it on the list, but worry that I'd never get to it and I'd be missing out on something.
I mean, really. There's chemistry there. Or geology. Whatever. Probably the two beings in Equestria with the most thorough combined experience with stone.
Shippers, feel free to steal my idea and set sail for insanity.
468616 I just put everything in read later and fave anything I start reading. When I have no updates to read, I filter the reading list by complete stories and pick one.
The problem with using the fave list for reading soon is that FF was recently changed so it no longer retains unread favorites indefinitely. For me it would drop them out of the list long before I got to them.
Mine is at 69...
And my unread updates is 42.

I remember when mine had 69.
Those were the good old days... back before the dawn of written history... or something.
468593 lol Mine's only at 69 because I fave things that I plan on reading soon, and bookmark things that I'll read when I get to it.

468623 Huh, weird. I've never had that problem. Probably because I read at least one chapter of something before faving it.
