Animated Movies I Recommend! · 4:43am Oct 7th, 2018

Im choosing more underrated films that I think most people wouldn't know about nowadays. Aside from Flight of the Dragons and The Last Unicorn, most of these films are very adult oriented and they are a pleasure to watch.

Heavy Metal and American Pop are especially great gems for old school music lovers like myself.

WARNING: Watership Down and The Plague Dogs are very dark films that will give you some deep feelings after watching them.

And all the others are just really fun to watch animation speaking.

I agree! These are all excellent films.

I wish we had more films like these nowadays. I mean aside from Isle of Dogs, the movie industry isn't exploring the use of animation and adult oriented themes. Specifically western animation speaking. There is so much opportunity with this style. I especially would like to see another movie like Watership Down and The Plague Dogs that are really dark but also very beautiful that will leave you emotionally impacted at the end.

May I ask what your short reviews of these movies would be? I am curious.

Bitch Watership down was my first horror film that gave me nightmares! (I was twelve when I first watched it)

The Plague Dogs is worse IMO. Movie doesn't even try to hide the fact its a dark film, visually speaking its bleak the whole way through. Watership Down at least has some nice moments in it. Also I highly recommend Fritz The Cat to you, there is some great satire and jokes in that film that I think implies more to society today that you might get some kicks out of.

4949511 I would probably define each one as being animations with mature themes.

And I agree that there needs to be more animated films out there that target an adult audience rather than a younger audience.

More specifically, there needs to be more traditionally animated films because there have been some 3D films targeted towards adults such as Sausage Party. But the 3D films usually focus on humor whereas an animated film can sometimes be a better medium for more serious topics.
