This made me thinking (as always) - wghat if such even (instant connection of many beings all over Equestria and beyond) happened centures ago? How far in the past you must move some interesting event for making 'today' safe place filled with something DIFFERENT from copy of Earth's dominant 'culture'?
How many unicorns you need to raise Sun (and Moon) - thousand, five thousands, more? Need they all come from same city, or their work can be coordinated remotely? How many unicorns from total population of unicorns can practicate in such event? Like 0.1 percent, or 0.01% or 10% ? Depend on answer world and its history can be quite different...
To be honest, I much prefer to see Equestria as world 500 or even 1000 years IN THE FUTURE, sociologically speaking, or may be even much further away from us. Because this way they stopped to be copy of our broken idea of how things should be run, and become something different, even if their beginnings were nearly as messy as ours.
Basically, my point you don't need God to fix your problems as far as you have 1) understanding of the problem(s) 2) means to fix them 3) boldness or absolute necessarity to act. We talk not just about Earth ponies who suddenly started to like to play humans - but about magical , winged, earth-moving ponies from literally another world. So, they had all reasons to figure out their own little pony problems ..and fix them for real, even if by multiple trials. And obviously this is much better for average/normal pony - not like Celestia (or Luna, or anyone) can be present around each time you need some help - and in the world full of egoistical suckers you will need too much help even for few Gods combined. Yay for Distributed Pony God (made of individual ponies)!
