Sorry for the silence. Work has been absolutely kicking my butt lately, leaving me no time to do things like write stories or wash my dishes.
Recently, while driving to my job, I got to thinking about how Minuette unfortunately has the same cutie mark as Doctor Hooves, given that they were both created back when there was a limited number of generic cutie marks available to the designers. And then I thought about how, once the fans made the Doctor Who connection, the animators created a couple of additional background characters using the same hourglass mark on ponies deliberately designed to resemble other Doctors.
And then, even though it had been fourteen months since the initial announcement, I suddenly recalled the big to-do that hit the Doctor Who fandom when it was announced that the new Doctor would be a woman (I don't follow the series). And I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be amazing if the new Doctor resembled Minuette? If it looked like the Friendship Is Magic team managed to pre-call a casting decision seven years before it occurred?"
I'm sure I'm not the first person to have thought this, but still, I searched for a picture of the new Doctor.
Okay, so maybe it isn't the most perfect match, but still... that's a little bit trippy, right?
