A sudden breakthrough in my first story! Also: beware the Pink One!

Today is the 13-th of September.

Two days ago I worked on my first story -- and expanded it somewhat. On the same day I wrote a blog entry.

Next day, that being yesterday, I gave my story a fresh look. Then... The way was found.

Yesterday I continued crafting my little story, working well past any bedtime... For a whole night I worked, and this morning I have... well... I don't know what I have written. What is this madness?

Remember: never insert Pinkie, when you go for a random story! The Pink One will find you! She'll see you through the Fourth wall, if you act like somebody actually existing! Remember: the Author is never to be shown as a person! Whatever he/she says, his/her words are faceless, no one's. They belong to whoever tells the story. But if a random guy cannot say those words without him noticing, they are somebody's, then the Pink One will sense the one narrating! Only by the right behaviour can an author shield from the Pink One and keep the Fourth wall untouched and whole. Failing to do so may disrupt the natural flow of the story and bring a new character into it. Will the story continue its own narration by itself? I personally doubt that highly. Perhaps, entering the script mode can help...

Alright, enough about that! The pink pony is a hard character to make comply, but not inserting oneself into the story makes for a great defence! I was seriously jumped-on by her in the process of narrating! I kid you not: she is that powerful to see past all conventions of writing fiction and to interact with noncharacters! Why I let that happen? Well...

The key to writing is letting the characters make the story flow. An author creates a world of fiction with characters inhabitating it, true, but the characters are only live when the author does not push them into action. Once set in an imaginary world, these characters must figure things out and act on their own. All the author gets to do is to watch... and take notes. Only slightly may the author interfere with the characters' decisions. It's only then, that the story sparkles with all the rainbow's colours.

So I let the pink pony play it out on her own. Let's just mention, that the story went to where no author has durst to wander before! Stuff happened, which I couldn't even imagine to happen! This story may take a sharp turn from being a one-shot and to becoming a multichapter story, but that's not to be sure of.

Only time will tell.

For now I have to go and console the sad Pinkie... Poor thing is so upset about me being unfair! After all, I made her speak not the way she's supposed to. No author should ever make their characters speak the out-of-character way!

And off I go to craft even further!
