So! Back. Not dead. Big surprise. Life's been kinda hectic for awhile now for a variety of reasons I won't go too much into, but I've had a nice long break and am feeling ready to get back to a semi-regular writing schedule! However, I have still been doing art for the past,,, six months, has it really been that long? Jeez. So, here's a big ol' pile of stuff that I haven't shared here, by month.

Nothing like a hard day’s work to get up an appetite.

Doctor Whooves Series 1 Trailer · 1:35am Sep 8th, 2018

The TARDIS interior is spacious and bright, with a high, vaulted ceiling and wood-paneled walls studded with fisheye lanterns. The central console is a magnificent sculpture of dark-stained oak and brass siding, with a tall glass pillar in the center where green lightning crackles unpredictably. It sits atop a raised platform, covered in large hexagonal tiles, red, violet, and golden. More control panels form a sort of barrier around the raised dais, with gaps in the middle of each side where either a catwalk or a set of stairs down to the floor below may be accessed.

“Hello there.”

Standing at the doorway is a man in a brown suit. His hair is wild and his eyes are heavy with the weight of the world. Nevertheless, he manages a smile. “So. Are you ready for the ride of your life?”

The lights flicker, and the man is gone.

“It only feels fair to warn you,” a voice says.

Standing at the top of the rightmost staircase is a tan stallion with a wild brown mane and a necktie. He is grinning slightly, and there’s a twinkle in his eyes. “It’s not all fun and games.”

The lights flicker again, and he is gone. A slight intake of breath comes from the catwalk to the right of the stairs. “You’ll encounter any number of old foes, you know,” a Scottish pegasus burrs, leaning lightly on an umbrella with a question-mark umbrella.

Again, the lights flicker. Another blue pegasus now stands at the staircase opposite the doors, beaming. “But you’ll also meet plenty of new friends!” he puts in, his fez threatening to fall off his quiffed mane. Has it been getting steadily dimmer in here? The room seems smaller, darker.

Again, the lights flicker, and now a man in a loud, clownish coat and striped yellow trousers stands proudly on the left-hand catwalk. “Even ones across the dimensions!” he says. “Now, come along--”

He falters as the lights flicker again, his face a mask of shock before the darkness consumes it. The room stays dark for a moment, and then the grim red of the emergency lights flicker into life. A white figure, shaped roughly like a pony, stands at the console as the grim, sonorous Cloister Bells ring out disaster in the background. It has no discernable face, but it somehow grins horribly anyway. “It’ll be the ride of your life.”

The lights flicker out, leaving the room in darkness save for a single red light glowing on the central console. After a moment, even that goes out.
