So, I got a friend.
A real close friend.
A single mother of 2 that lives her life around her kids. They're about to be homeless if they can't get ahold of $7,000 CAD by Tuesday.
Rather they bought a new house and suddenly had the rug pulled out from under them in the form of 7k being loaned to her suddenly being unavailable. They're already spending a couple days without a home (extended sleepover for the kids, couch surfing for mom [including mine])
But without that money she's going to legally commit fraud. I doubt she'd be going to jail over it, but if Child Services catches wind the kids will be taken and dad isn't an option, neither is grandma apparently.
I need options, she's out of them and I can't brainstorm anything that'll work in time.
What she wants is a no interest loan. What she needs is a break/miracle.
If she knew I was putting this out to random strangers on the internet she'd probably strangle me while thanking me.
P.S. Her daughter's favourite pony is Rainbow Dash.
I regret posting this immediately, she'll kill me if she finds out... But if she's not willing to ask ME for help until 2 days after she finds out she's getting screwed then she's not going to swallow her pride and ask outside her friends until it's too late.
