Back to school · 5:56am Aug 29th, 2018

As the post says, I am back in school. I apologize for the lack of chapters recently, and I ask your forbearance in the weeks ahead.

Lets be honest; I wish I could say my morale was better.

In addition to homework and required reading (and a math class that I can barely, if at all, understand), I've run into a few writers' blocks (yes, "blocks," in the plural, meaning for multiple stories; actually, all of them) with what I'm writing, as well as the long-standing specter of letting my readers down making its way back into my life after the first few energetic days of trying to reconfigure Robotech; a new world.

I've been playing a lot of Crusader Kings II recently, and have been hooked on a game where I've played Pictland, became Emperor of Alba (or Britannia; the name of the title can change depending on the culture of who holds the title), and turned my tribal holdings into a merchant republic, which is another, sadly addicting, distraction...probably the main distraction at the moment. :ajsleepy:

As well, I recently noticed that "The History of the Great Changeling War" was added to the "Absolutely Disgusting" group, without any input as to why, which is even more puzzling and troubling than the actual addition to the group itself. I've been trying to let it go and not bother bringing it up, because I don't want to be prideful or anything, but I keep feeling troubled by it, and why the person who did it didn't leave a comment on the story itself explaining why.

Furthermore, it's easy for me to get an idea away from my laptop, then not remember the details or exact wording that I thought up at that point in time when I return. Also, I feel a difficulty in expressing certain things in words, and in not repeating certain words over and over in the same chapter.

Anyway, those are some of the reasons why I haven't made anywhere near as much progress as I could and probably should. I've managed to make some slight (read, ~100 words) on War of 1002 tonight, so maybe it's not as bad as I thought, but it could have been more. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere or quitting Fimfiction; just describing some stuff that's going on.

Thanks for reading, and my thanks to everyone who has stuck by me these past several years. May God go with you all.

Eh, try not to let it bother you too much. For all you know, it could be just some random troll, trying to sour your day. Or someone read it, and didn't like it, and for some unknown reason, decided it belonged in the garbage category. Not worth your time to worry about why or why didn't they tell you why. If someone's going to do something that rash, without giving a reason, they probably aren't that mature.

Trust me, you are not the only on that padre. I have the same problem, I'll have an idea, and then, I'll procrastinate and not write it down on my notebook...and regret it later. It sucks, so bad. I'll end up roleplaying a scene by myself, and forget a lot of the details of what the characters were talking about, and what exactly they were saying. My advice is to keep a pencil or two around, with a notebook, and write down your ideas. It's saved me a lot of times.(I've got several notebooks filled with ideas and details for a story. Good heavens.)

Anyway, I hope you the best, and God bless, friend.

When I’m done with the fics I’m reading from Alex Warlorn and snu-snu, I’m gonna get back to your War of 1002 and start over so that the experience feels fresh. I’ll be posting fresh comments so you can know where I’m at.
