Hi folks. I got this idea for a fic that I can't get rid of, and I need you -- that's right, you! -- to help me develop it.
The idea is really simple; you know that game where someone writes down "once upon a time..." and every player has to further the story with one sentence? Well I thought that I could start such a game here, on FimFiction, and make a full-length fic out of it. The best part is that everyone would be its author 
However, as most of you know, you can't publish a story here if it doesn't have 1000 words already. For this reason, I need to get contributions from people somewhere on this website, hence the use of this blog post. Now, I realize that unfortunately, I may not get a ton of answers, because there is a very limited amount of people aware of my existence here 
But every contribution counts! And it only takes a second to contribute 
Now then. Here are the exact rules of the game:
- I am going to start the story with a sentence at the end of this post. Your job is to further the plot as it is by making suggestions to its advancement To contribute, you may either suggest actual sentences to be written down word for word (3 sentences max, and please write them down in quotation marks), or simply make a more general suggestion.
- There are only two conditions binding your suggestions: First, they have to be FiM-related (as the site requests, obviously). Second, they must not contradict previous suggestions; this basically means that you can't suggest any ideas that wouldn't make sense in relation to the story so far.
- As long as the above conditions are met, every single suggestion is welcome. You may make an infinite amount of suggestions. Random comedy is especially appreciated! :D
- I am exercizing my right to be the moderator of this story 
This means I decide if I don't want such and such suggestion to become part of the story. However, I promise to be very generous with this moderation (just keeping a little control over this is all).
- The point of this story is for everyone to have a say in it. As a result, you may voice any opinion or concern whatsoever regarding the suggestions of other people. However, you may not object to something that has been added in the actual story (basically you can do anything except ask me to scratch part of the story and take a new direction in the plot without it). As an extension of this rule, you have the right to specifically object to the addition of clop or gore in the story (see below).
- As a continuation of the above rule, here is my personal take on the subject of potential clop and gore in this story: For clop or shipping, I really don't care. This means that if you want me to write a saucy clop scene, you can count on me to ask a fellow writer to write it, because I've never written clop and I have a gut feeling it would just be boring if I did. 
For gore, I also don't mind because I said that I would allow all suggestions, and I will. But personally, I'm not a big fan of gore in pony fics :/ Especially this one, because it's a game between all of us, and as a result I'd like to keep it light and fun. So if you want to submit gore, that's fine, but only if you really want to because that's your kick.
- Ultimately, if your suggestion is not added to the story, it will either be because I decided so myself (I will not do this often, and I will give good reason to if I do), or because their is an overwhelming demand from the readers not to include it. So do not hesitate to voice all your opinions, readers.
- One last thing: The involvement of any character, be it canon, fanon, or even OC's, is accepted. This basically means you can bring in any character whatsoever into the game, even if you made it yourself. However, there is a special rule for OC's; if you want to introduce your OC, please give a detailed physical and mental account of what the character's like, etc. To avoid endless debate, no one but the OC's creator may change or define it, except for the main character, Wish, introduced in the first line of the story.
- These rules may be subject to change. If you have ideas regarding them, please do share them.
