You know what really annoys me about all this? Back in season 1, we wanted something almost like this. We wanted ponies to visit griffon land, draconia, neighpon, the antarctic penguin waterbending country, all kinds of places, and we wanted Celestia and Luna episodes and more MLP lore. We wanted the history of equestria and foreign lands and unusual ponies.
These new writers are giving us their shitty answers to questions we had fun discussing eight years ago, killing the point of the questions in the first place. They're lazily doing plots we wanted to see because we thought they could never get done badly. And they're giving us bad OCs with dumb backstories and cliche stock plots Spongebob, Simpsons, FOP and anime did better.
Just count how many New Mane Six groups we've gotten over the years and tell me the writers aren't out of ideas. They're bitter cucked hacks who have no respect for the fandom they inherited.
You know what? Screw this, I guess my Silver Fic is an AU now, because there's no way in hell I'm rewriting my half-finished Spike episodes to include this fat generic balding bad-toothed loser. I can fix Discord being a living tension-destroyer and poorly-redeemed selfish prat who never chooses to try and be kind and only ever tried to play the "Trickster mentor" once in a poorly written "Twilight's friends are assholes now" moment, I can fix Glimmer and Trixie ruining the town, show, and its messages, I can fix the Nu-Changelings, but I don't think I should have to fix this bullshit. And in a way, isn't looking at the bad MLP fanfiction we call new episodes and saying "No, that isn't canon to the real MLP" an even better insult than having Poochie die on her way back to her home planet?
I seriously hope they haven’t copped out and done the “oh spikes biological parents are dicks so just ignore them” route.
