Authors warning: this might become a rant about are flawed political system in the US.
I seriously do not know what is wrong with people. The things I see our American people do on the news is just upsetting. I recently saw a past news report on CNN on how a family going to retrieve their fallen son was booed by first class. You heard me, BOOED, because they were retrieving their dead son who died serving his country! Not only that but there's a thing where is a flight is carrying a fallen soldier all passengers of the flight HAVE to stay in their seats until the casket is off the plane and on it's way to their family or final resting place as a way to honor them ARE LEAVING THEIR SEATS BEFORE THE CASKET IS DOWN THE DAMN CONVEYOR BELT!
I am sick of how people show disrespect to our service men and women who fight EVERY FUCKING DAY to make sure that we stay safe and have a roof over our heads. If you assholes are gonna show disrepect then think for a moment what would happen if we didn't have them keeping us safe?! You'd probably wouldn't be here that's for damn sure!
Now for me, I honor our flag! I honor our military! My great Grandfather served WWII and my grandpa served Vietnam. I don't burn a flag or spit on a veteran's grave. Hell if I saw a vet being harassed about serving our country and keeping us safe I'd tell the harasser to fuck off and thank the vet for serving our country. If you don't like our military or veterans protecting you then shut up and DEAL!!!!
I agree with you 100% on this. No one should be disrespecting our military, veterans or those who have fallen in battle. The people who pull shit like this wouldn't last a minute fighting terrorists in the middle east and when it came to the traditional wars of past, they wouldn't have lasted ten seconds.
It is political stuff like that which has caused me to only watch the local news and pick up on local events. I have high blood pressure and outlets like CNN and Fox only make it worse.
I didn't even know about this! This is terrible. Also, don't CNN and FOX do a lot of fake news? Either way, people shouldn't be doing this and I agree with you. My grandfather was a captain in the air force for Vietnam. He didn't fight in a plane, he told them what to do on the ground. But I respect everyone in our military. They do everything for our country, and don't expect anything in return. They're protecting our country unconditionally. And to prove I love my country:
