Haha, and - spoiler alert - did it at the end quite her way, not way some good friends of friends wanted it. So, nice end for the series. Thing is, in real world things not as easy as just overcoming some personal psychological problem (of me) ... Humans still want to build their much more dolphinarium-like 'sanctuary/rehabilitation centres' without giving any damn about what dolphins (and co) actually feel, and how it all will affect them ('cetaceans are more emotional than humans' can of course be used both ways - as way to dismiss them as sort of 'less rational', but also as matter of their reality - something humans can live over will literally kill dolphin! Including normal for our world 'animal medicine' based still much on force and a bit less on some pseudovoluntary cooperation ....oh, our real world not gonna listen to this! I tried ...even if my ex-comrades told me they agree with me and will do it differently - in reality they just followed their initial wrong plans, only talk was changed ...so, for me all this 'animal talk' hit quite big nerve ...)
Of course, even existence of those 'too human' in wrong sense ideas in (shown) Equestria not something I like much - it basically makes their world just like ours exactly on aspects it better to differ... I don't want everyone NON-pony to suffer from even smoother version of pony-centrism! But ... i can shove this under carpet as just some way to create conflict for the story (and anyway I developed this headcanon where 'real' Equestria might be quite different from show'ed one).

Still, for me main problem seems to be not exactly space itself, but humans ..will they truely accept non-humans as _real_ important, equals not only on paper, but in everyday action, too? Be whole thing FOR dolphins, or for , say, horses ...it must be different from mainstream slippery slope.
