Is there an interest for a potential re-write/edit run? · 9:09pm May 14th, 2018
As the title suggests, would the people who have read this story and favourited it over the last few years like to see a rewrite/edit of it to make it a bit better overall and polish out what can be done out of it?
I'm testing the waters on this but if there is a general interest I will look into gathering some people who can help me make it the best story it can be because I wrote the original when I was 15-16 years old and didn't really have the best grasp of grammar and proper writing. (As if I have that now as well...)
I'm working on some other stories now but I want to see over that story because it's THE story that made me get somewhere here to begin with and I want to make it justice.
Note: It will not change the base storyline, just fix some bullshittery and make it a smoother read and not all over the place.
For what it's worth, I probably won't get anything out of an editing pass since I generally don't reread stories (or other forms of media for that matter).
That said, this might be a good thing to keep in your back pocket as a way to get/stay writing when you run into writers block, so you may want to look at it from that angle rather than think of it as a proper project like Xenophobia and Bad Company.

It's what I had in mind with it, the biggest changes I can think of that would happen is changing some dialogue and continuation errors that popped up over time more and more.
I want it to become a story I'm satisfied with and doesn't cringe when thinking about some parts of it.

Making the safe assumption that you are talking about patching internal continuity rather than destroying the story by trying to cram newer material into it, that sounds like a solid plan. Just don't let it eat your focus and you should be good.
