Darkwing Duck is Back! · 8:28pm May 11th, 2018
Well, sorta. At least Jim Cummings is voicing him, and so is are the voice actors for Megavolt and Quackerjack. If we're to assume this was a very old show (a la the Adam West Show), I can imagine a few scenarios.
1) This Darkwing Duck (now under a different real name), no doubt aged, recludes in his private home, still believing he is Darkwing Duck. Enter Launchpad and Dewey Duck to carry on the legend somewhat. For a similar idea, the Kim Possible episode "Fearless Ferret" would be a start.
2) Drake Mallard, the Darkwing Duck we know, is inspired by this show so much that he dons the cape and hat. It's been revealed in the old show that Mallard was into heroics since he was the boys' age. As Scrooge answered regarding his famous money bin dive.
I've spent years perfecting that skill, building muscles, and dexterity. If you want something, you workhardto get it.
What this would lead up to in the future would be a rehash of the pilot "Darkly Dawns the Duck;" assuming the boys and Webby didn't solve Della's disappearance by then, their dilemma would inspire Mallard to adopt Gosalyn.
So which of the two would happen? Personally, I'd like number 2 to happen, but I can't guarantee.
Either way, Keep calm and
It's kinda cool that Darkwing Duck is coming back.
All that's left is to resurrect Disney's Adventures of the Gummi Bears.
