Writing Scraps 3: Rarity · 11:13pm Apr 26th, 2018
So.
In writing the next chapter of Is This It (which I ended up scraping half of, then all of, then restoring half of again), I ended up taking a few small...writing distractions(?) that mostly never got finished.
The one that I did finish was Under The Streetlights, but this blog is all about the ones that didn't.
Neither have titles, but both start with 'Rarity'. So, firstly we have:
Rarity toaster oven diary (working title)
Today, Jim burned his first grilled cheese. Charred it completely black. I have never been prouder.
That was the starting sentence to remind me to write a diary-style fiction where Rarity documents the short life of her new toaster oven. And of course, being writ by Rarity, it would be filled to the brim with drama, prose, and unplanned humour.
Secondly, and I have no idea, comes:
Rarity stood alone.
And I couldn't tell you for the life of me what that was supposed to become. It's not so much of a writing scrap as it is a writing TimBit(tm).
Thus continues my long list of what was I thinking when I wrote this and what do I do with it nows that further distance me from finishing the longer list of I've gotta finish writing these but why don't they ever get completed I do so much writings.
I need a list for these lists. And better list names.
