Hello friends. It's been a while.
I'm back...as back as I'm gonna be rather. I've taken a LONG time away from the fandom knowing full well that I'd be called back one day, either by nostalgia, the urge to wrap something up I started long ago, or some other compulsion. Whatever it is, I'm willing to settle back in.
That being said, I would not expect nearly as large an output as I once had back in the glory days, for multiple reasons.
1. The show isn't as inspiring for me as it used to be. I still see bits and piece there but my heart will forever go back to those first few seasons where everything was new and ready to be explored with conflict and fantasy around every corner. The new stuff is fine, but it's lost a bit of that spark for me, as I'm sure it has for many of us.
2. I'm older now as many of us are, and I work, have other plans and am working on my own more original stories in my off time. I still feel a fondness for these works I've made, (granted with the age of it I do wince at my old mistakes and such), but I do aspire to have novels published on shelves...or I guess on a kindle or iPad or whatever techno-whirly thing. I'd prefer a paper book but...I'm rambling.
3. I'm not as interested in spending nearly as much time with the fandom as I used to in general. This is my old stomping grounds, this is a place I enjoyed, but these days, the fans have left, a lot of them for good unlike myself, and the "movement" isn't a thing anymore, despite how a few will try and insist that it is.
This place is a little piece of home for me, and looking back here, dusting off a few of these works, I'll happily and comfortably come back to check in from time to time, maybe get bit with a writing bug and whip something small up then and again like I used to. But I won't be trying to do any large adventure novel stuff again. Maybe I'll get around to finishing some of the ideas I had started here, but for now, I'm going to go over my old stuff and the site's new stuff, and maybe chat a little from time to time with you guys if you want to again.
It's nice to be back.

I Myself just came back last month as well after a 2 and a half year break from the fandom. It is nice to see someone else from the old days come back even if we probably weren't acquaintances.
I am glad to have been along for the ride with others like you.
