About the Hearts Of series · 12:04am Apr 17th, 2018
So I have avoided talking too much about this series outside of whichever book I'm currently working on or posting. But I kinda wanted to spitball some ideas about this series. As we know so far the Heart of Stone is the largest story in the series, staring Trixie and Maud as Trixie heals from a traumatic event and works towards building herself up into something great, something powerful.
Spoilers here: In the Heart of Stone we also handle Trixie's accession to godhood from borrowing power from another, darker ally. This ends up with a deep betrayal when Trixie finally stands up to her foe, and she discovers that she didn't need the god powers from someone else when her true power was in her all along. Or something like that, I wasn't the best at understanding themes back then.
In the Heart of Stone: Recovery Light, I set up the emerging friendship between Twilight Sparkle and Valiant when Twilight is beyond injured both physically and mentally from the end of the Heart of Stone. Valiant Heart takes the time to help her, and does her best to bring Twilight back to a place of mental stability and safety. We also see the after effects of Trixie and Maud's personal life and where they might go from there.
There was a few ideas between this book and Heart of Light that never came to be. A potential prequel starring Sunset Shimmers and her role fighting chuthulu spawn. That would have been fun but I just couldn't find much of a character story for it.
Now we enter Heart of Light. The Heart of Light focuses on the friendship which was developed between Twilight and Valiant Heart. The main focus is on these two, their inner struggles and conflicts with their lives, and how they can teach each other. This is a much more light hearted story than the Heart of Stone, but there will still be some devastatingly hard lessons for Twilight to learn in this story that will be fun to reveal.
There are a couple of ideas for stories after the Heart of Light. Possible ideas include a story focusing on Trixie dealing with the aftermath of the first book and finishing the lingering question left behind from it. Then there's the story that the Heart of Fire touched upon briefly, which is Twilight's actual replacement, her final student, aka Trixie's kid Amber Light.
Now I feel I should mention that The Heart of Light is actually already written in full. I'm just doing some minor edits and clean up on it chapter by chapter as I post them, about once a week. So there are just some notes on the series. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.
