Finally saw it.

I finally got around to seeing My Little Pony: the Movie.

Short answer, I really liked it.

Long answer: it's a beautiful animated movie that I really enjoyed and it basically reminded me of why I love the show to begin with (As I said previous, I'm several seasons behind). There were a few issues I had with it (mostly the Storm King being a bit anti climactic, and I am an Alicorn Princess fan, so, y'know...), but I really liked the newly introduced characters, the world building, and the rather surprising amount of action, while using the Magic of Friendship to win without it becoming a Care Bear Stare. It was certainly good enough that I'll likely watch it again in the near future.
