Background: Thunder Fury is the fast talking and hyperactive member of the Masters of Nature, a group of ponies with power over the forces of nature. He is the Master of Lightning and younger brother to Burning Star, the Master of Fire. He has a severe inferiority complex because of his brother, and thus throws himself into reckless stunts and competitions to try and prove he isn't weaker than him. His Rival in the Main 6 is Rainbow Dash, as they both possess massive egos and fierce competitive behavior.
A Shocking Entrance: His first appearance was during the "Nightmare Ponyville" crisis, where he ambushed Burning Star and the two knights Shining Armor and Shadow Armor when they were in Ponyville. Filled with rage and hatred for his brother's absence during his own time of grief, Thunder Fury swatted aside the two knights and engaged in battle with his brother, intending to kill him. Despite Thunder Fury's incredible power over electricity, Burning Star overpowered his brother and used his fear gaze to send him scurrying away. He returned in a much better mood to be a good uncle to Twilight Sparkle's foals, Ash Mane and Star Tail.
Brothers Protect One Another: When Burning Star fell into a coma after taking on the icy Queen Diamanda of the Windigos, Thunder Fury became more protective and loving to his ill sibling, informing the Main 6 of the possible locations of the Masters of Nature to help wake his brother and stop his powers from going into a meltdown. When Diamanda finally launched her attack, Thunder Fury helped lead the charge against the Windigo Army. He now works as one of the personal trainers of the Wonderbolts, where his speed and energtic personality fit right in.
Powers: Being A Pegasus, Thunder Fury can fly and manipulate clouds and weather conditions. His top speed is roughly Mach 3, and can use his lightning powers to move so fast that he is unseeable to the naked eye.
Shock and Awe: Thunder Fury is the Master of Lightning, and possesses incredible powers over electricity, which he harnesses from building up static charge from friction while flying. He can fire small bolts of electric power from his hooves with Static Pulse, unleash full strength lightning bolts from his mane, attract lightning from the sky like a lightning rod to enhance his powers, move at blinding speed, create thunderstorms, send out waves of power with Zap Nova, even electrify his body with Thunder Shield. His strongest attack is Gigaton Thunderbolt, where he unleashes a hail of lightning bolts before launching a ball of electricity that explodes with enough force to destroy large houses.
Weaknesses: A electrically resistant material such as ceramic or rubber can weaken his powers. Overcharging his body can cause him to overload and expel all of his power at once, forcing him to recharge. He is not a strategist, preferring to despite his opponent as quickly as possible, this means a smarter opponent can wear him down, and his stamina isn't the best. ThunderFury's reckless behavior and cocky attitude often gets him into a lot of trouble.
Next up is Burning Star's bodyguard, Iron Steed! Stay tuned!
