Monster Hunter World has very little subspecies. We got the basics like Azure Rathalos, Pink Rathian and Black Diablos, and that's just about it. But consider this: what if some of the newer monsters had subspecies? For example:
Striker Bazelgeuse
A subspecies of Bazelgeuse that utilizes electricity instead of fire. When they drop their scales, they explode in a burst of thunder, afflicting thunderblight to any unfortunate hunter that gets too close.
Fellspine Nergigante
The Fellspine Nergigante is more like a variant of the monster with overgrown spines that inflict bleeding. When enraged, all of its attacks will inflict bleeding on a hunter.
Torrent Anjanath
This subspecies of Anjanath has the ability of water instead of fire. Alongside shooting water at foes that causes waterblight, it has special pores in its nasal that ejects water whenever it attacks, should it be enraged.
I'll probably think of more later. Anyone else have any ideas for MHW subspecies?
These actually sounds super cool.
Maybe we'll have them in future updates, but for now Capcom wanted to play safe by seeing if the new formula would take.
And since it did I'd say wait until the PC port arrives for any major change.
I'm not far enough to come up with more, but these sound awesome to hunt.
