I have brought upon the grace of my old router to my sucky Comcast internet.

So y'know how I've mentioned before that I went from fiber internet at my old house to cable in my current house?

Yeah, I still have the router I used in my old house. Hooked it up, went through hours of mind-numbing configuration issues, and...

My internet's actually working... fine, now, surprisingly. :/

Like, it still drops out about every half an hour to an hour, but the general slowness is gone. Granted, I'm still only getting about half the promised throughput that my family's paying for, but it's either that or stick with <10Mbps speeds directly from the cable modem.

I guess the router that I now have sitting against the wall plugged into a wifi extender connected to the cable modem is the way to go.
