    Regarding Tower of Doom

I apologize for the long wait for the continuation of Tower of Doom. I meant for this story to be completed in time for Halloween, but for the last few weeks some real life matters needed my attention, so I had to step away from writing. I won't go into detail, but I will tell that I'm completely exhausted. But I do plan on publishing Chapter 4 some time this upcoming week, and the other

The Return of Loyalty and Other News · 8:10pm Dec 15th, 2017

Two My Little Pony novels will be published in 2018, one will be published in spring and the other publish in fall.

The first novel, a mystery-adventure story featuring the main six, is expected to be published in March 29, 2018. The Return of Loyalty, the sequel to The Spirit of Loyalty, will be published in an unspecified date in September 2018.

There is something about The Return of Loyalty I want to talk to you guys about. Two years ago I have made several attempts to write a sequel although none came through. The original story is considered by many a masterpiece and it's the most highest-rated story I ever written. There was no way I can make a sequel at the time. I thought I will never write anything as great ever again.

Now I have a new resolve to write a sequel. I came to realize and accept I can't bring it to the same level as the original, I can't recreate those emotional conflicts like that, it's impossible. So I'm not going to attempt it this time around. As much as it will be a continuation, it will at the same time stand on its own. This is my story and I think I should have some sort of fun with it.

See you next time and Happy Holidays.

I think that is a healthy idea to look at it from your end. Trying to outdo a really well received story can be too daunting and cause a writer to never finish (or sometimes even start) a story. I find a lot of artists have this problem (artist being broad such as musicians, writers, etc) where they get so wrapped up in worrying about besting their first really great work that it harms their ability to continue doing their thing so I am happy you are going to write and you are not so worried about whether it is "better" than the first story. IN all honesty I feel that your story will be enjoyable for me to read and I am excited to read it in the future.

Thank you. I took me a long time to realize I shouldn't worry about outdoing the original. The reason I've been putting it off was because I spent the whole time making the original as perfect as possible. It was my highest-rated story, I had to do it. And the demand for a sequel just complicated things. I knew the story wasn't finished yet, but I didn't think I can write the same way again, so I sat on it, filling the void with one-shots.

It took me a long to realize that I'm writing FAN FICTION. I'm not part of the writing staff of My Little Pony. I'm just a regular guy that writes imaginary stories. I can do whatever I want, because it won't effect the show in any way. Also I should be having fun with this. It was the one thing I forgot about why I even got into fan fiction in the first place.

I'm sorry for my rambling. Sometimes I get way off track. Anyway, the first novel I'm writing is a "warm-up" novel before I get to Return of Loyalty. It's been awhile since I wrote something over 50,000 words, and I thought a simple adventure story will be a good trial run. I'm glad you're still here. Tell everyone the good news. The saga continues.
