Now everyone is on an emotional roller coaster as they come to terms with the loss of their most loyal friend in their own ways. Through all of the pain of their internal struggles they have to endure, they soon discover that some things are beyond their control, like the death of a good friend; how the lives of the ones we love are not truly lost if we live their's through our own, and how the best thing to do is to continue the legacy they left behind.

You can, it may be hard but you can get over it in a very short amount of time. when i was a small child my grandfather who meant the world to me died of cancer. the day after i found out that he died i was fine. oddly enough not a tear was dropped by me.

Just a note Pinkie pranked Gilda once. All the other pranks were done by Dash.
Even so I really like how you have Pinkie trying to actively forgive Gilda (just like in the Griffonstone episode actually). You should have more moments with Pinkie and Gilda remembering Dash considering how important Dash was to the two of them.
Hmm... With the element of Loyalty gone... Who will replace her role? Maybe it's... Scootaloo...
Eh, who knows. I might as well be full of cheese. Why cheese in particular is something to ask Pinkie.

It's sad that the rainboom who gave Pinkie purpose and happiness was also the one who took away her happiness in a dead friend.

I really like the way you are using Dashie's death to delve into Pinkie's character. I have always thought of Pinkie and Dash being pretty close so it affecting her greatly makes a lot of sense to me. I am also liking how you are using this as an opportunity to go into her family dynamics. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
i have a theory if i recall Rainbow's final trick was called the Rainbow "TIME"-extravaganza so if there isn't a body or at least anything that is apart of Dash like a piece of her mane or feathers then maybe her trick accidentally sent her back or forward through time.
it's not a solid theory, but it just makes sense to me.
Sometimes the most private moments have to be done in the dark of the night.
Truly this is a touching tale so far. Very emotional.

Touching. Just truly touching. Mr. Cake was right and the fact that the girls missed Rainbow's own birthday just added more fuel to the fire that is the grief in their lives.
This would be something that Rainbow would request for Pinkie to do. No need to answer.
Maybe it could be the thing to snap the rest of the girls out of their funk.

I actually think Pinkie might be a good surrogate for Rainbow Dash with Scootaloo. I think she would be very supportive of the sort of things Scoots likes to do and they both were very close to Rainbow Dash. Pinkie cannot naturally fly but perhaps that is something in a way they could share where Pinkie helps Scoots fly one way or another.
Interesting chapter, but I think Applejack had the right words to say. Rainbow Dash was important to both Pinkie and Scootaloo and maybe it would be better to let them be and hoping they can heal over time.
Still it was nice to see Pinkie almost acting like herself again and tries to get Scootaloo's birthday running.
The bigger question is whether Scootaloo will be happy by this or not ? Keep up the good work.

This party could be good for Pinkie and Scoots. I hope they both get to talk it out with each other as I think they can be good for each other.
I think this chapter made me actually officially favorite this story. Scoots and Pinkie have some great time in this chapter and I really like how they interact. For some reason I just have this feeling that with Dash gone that Pinkie is in many ways the next best thing and I think their mutual love and respect of Dash gives them a lot of common ground to work with. That last bit with Pinkie about to tell all her stories just is a wonderful moment and I hope we get to see more with Scoots and Pinkie.
No words, but just pure applause for what you have accomplished in this storyline.
I mean Not only was Applejack's words true as Scootaloo broke down after seeing the party at first, but in a way...with their own experience in loosing Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Scootaloo is slowly forming their own bond together as Pinkie's words to Scootaloo is sort of what they both needed to hear.
Scootaloo is really questioning herself and her position in life in the wake of Rainbow Dash's death is truly thought provoking.
Plus TANK finally makes an appearance in this story and is given to Scootaloo.
Also Tank's a Tortoise not a Turtle.
Still this was a great way to end volume one of this story.
I cannot wait to see how you'll pull off the second volume.

After months and months and months of waiting I've finally read this interesting fic and... it's beautiful. Everything. I didn't had the chance of reading the original script but this re-write is perfect. Perfect timing, perfect feelings, perfect direction. I'll be sitting here, waiting for Volume II.
