Are there any "fake relationship" stories that don't develop the fake relationship into a real one? · 5:44am Dec 12th, 2017
To better explain, a "fake relationship" story is one where two characters pretend to be in a romantic relationship, with the result usually being comedic hijinks. In story, normally this is done either to fool others (e.g. to get one's parents off their back for not being in a relationship) or because one wants to practice going on dates to prepare for an actual one. The frustrating thing is, pretty much every single story of this type (at least the ones I've seen in MLP fanfics) ends with the two characters realizing that they're in love for real and getting together. So, I'm asking to the handful of people who actually read this blog: Are there any "fake relationship" stories that actually ignore this trend and DON'T put those two characters together romantically at the end?
Oh, and an update on Friendship Is Absurd: Been struggling some with the next chapter... which, unfortunately, has become the norm for new chapters which is why the pauses between them have become so long. But, as usual, rest assured I am working on it, however frustratingly slow my pace can become. Of course, that's the usual line I give, so if you want something more, right now it's looking that it's about 1/2 to 2/3 complete in terms of word count, but those are of course estimates.

Thanks for that. Well, there's at least one, then.
