I have something to confess to all of my followers: I can't draw. Well I can draw but only mimic, devoid of imagination and spontaneity, so basically I can scribble without form or depth. It all started back in college, which I graduated just last year. The new dean messed up our curriculum and revised the lesson plans to focus more on digital design, to "help us" with our future.
Long story short, so instead of fostering our creativity, we were urged to learn the technical side of our adobe programs, while pushing marketing and business more. Art became a secondary subject, the move was a test, but it had consequences at the end, we were taking lessons we weren't suppose to take yet, thus my education became a huge mess. Now not everything was bad, because some of my teachers had sparkles in their eyes, and they tried to make the best out of it, as a result I developed an affection for marketing.
I decided to do something about this, instead of feeling I got cheated out of my education. I'm going to study the principles of drawing and so far I can't really say I've developed anything yet, I feel like I'm only imitating the tutorials, or maybe I'm just impatient. Amazingly I realized I don't have to spend money for fancy classes, there are lot of free tutorials in the Internet, which admittedly is a bit technical for beginners, but not all are and it'll do.
For some reason, I find it easier to do 2 point perspective than one.
Moving away from art, there's one thing I became aware off when I was studying how to put structure and emotions to a story, this is something no lesson can teach me, and that is... creating dialogue. I asked the help from fimfiction's Discord, and one of them lead me to a blog about the MLP cast's diction. I think it'll help, I simply need a lot more studying, and collect some quotes to get the feeling of how our lovable ponies talk.
Well now you know why I'm taking so long to write this fix fic, quality takes time, also I plan on making a storybook similar to the MLP chapter books, hopefully with more visuals, and post it on tapas.
