Commentary on the current state of the world (Not-So-Daily Blog #78) · 5:35am Nov 27th, 2017
Not your usual daily blog this time. WARNING: THIS IS A RANT ABOUT THE STATE OF THE WORLD, AND MAY CONTAIN INSULTS.
Let's start it off with something a bit widespread.
Global Warming. If you don't think it's real, screw you. The place I'm living in is heading for another drought soon if things don't get snowy.
You know how in the Northern Hemisphere, it should practically be winter by now?
And you know how Utah is supposedly well-known for its snow?
Well, I live in Utah, and I'd have to say, Thanksgiving break sure had quite a lotta summer in it if you ask me.
'Cause seriously. 70-80 degree (Fahrenheit) weather in the end of freakin' November is not normal.
EPA?
Honestly, they're doing the exact opposite of their namesake duty. Utah may be an industrial state with plenty of Republicans, but pretty much all of us here in the valley are wary of the inversion smog that collects during fall and winter.
Stop hiring oil and coal lobbyists and bring back actual scientists, you morons.
Net Neutrality.
Screw you, Comcast. Need I say more? And you too, Verizon. I've had to make mad scrambles to finish my homework simply because the internet was down for most of the day on certain occasions. Most of the time it'll cut out every 5-10 minutes and require another few minutes to come back up.
Ajit Pai? Please resign and get someone who actually knows what they're doing to succeed you.
All those shootings and massacres
Yeah. My family decided that we're not gonna be going on vacation to Hawaii anytime soon even though my parents have wanted to go ever since I was born.
Personal life
My progress on Angry Birds 2? 800+ levels and counting on account of my rampant internet outages.
Minecraft? Eh. I still play some, and I've recently begun playing on servers again just for the sake of trying to enjoy some gameplay. Most of the time I lag out though.
School? Aside from daily quizzes, I'm doing fine right now. I've been using extra time in classes to finish homework during class lately.
Fimfiction? I'm in another one of those times where I'm writing a bit less due to mild writers' block, though now that I know what direction I'll be going for my main series, things should (hopefully) pick up.
Memes? I have thousands.
Friends? We've created and buried so many group chats that I now have to pull up their histories across multiple phones. Also, one of them has a crazy girlfriend who seems to block anyone who sends a text to their boyfriend, including the dude's own friends. Which means me. And the majority of my friends.
Overall state of the world?
3/10, too much crazy. A few nice things happened, but overall I just want some days where I don't see something crazy happening somewhere.
If you ask me, I'd say that 2017 is just 2016 chaos part 2.
Okay then... So, my fellow Utahn, you think that "Global Warming" is the reason that this fall has been less "fall" and more "second spring"? 'Cause I don't see it. It gets pretty cold in the morning. I think that this fall is weird because it's just trying to balance out cold mornings. I'm sure it'll be cold enough for snow to stick sometime in December. I might be wrong though, and I'm willing to admit that.
Also... the EPA. They suck. For a long time, my brothers and I joked that it really stands for the Employment Prevention Agency. Then I got a job, and haven't joked about that since.
Net Neutrality. Oh, this. Everyone seems to have their own definition of this, of what it's "supposed to be", and it honestly gives me a headache. It's confusing sometimes, even when you've heard the sides that say "it's good, it does all this good stuff" or "it's bad, because it aids the big guys on the net". I honestly wish it would just settle down for a while.
Shootings... in Hawaii? Don't think I've heard about those... the main thing I hear people go on about are the Hurricanes.
Sorry if I went on for a while. Just felt I had to get this off my chest. Anyway, that's my opinion. I know I probably won't change yours, and that's okay. This world wouldn't be any good if everyone thought the same way. I just hope you can understand my viewpoint.
I don't believe in the concept that humans are the only one contributing to global warming and that in about another 100 years or so the global temperature will start dropping. I believe in global warming not man caused global warming.

It's not that there has been a shooting in Hawaii. My parents are just worried that there COULD be one.
Ajit Pai knows exactly what he is doing, take a look at his political and corporate careers' history.
Hell, his past 30 years life's career is literally defined as "strongarm-lawyer targeted telecom regulators and telecom regulations at the local/state/regional/national/federal level for my current client"
