Updates, NaNoWriMo, and the weeks to come · 9:16pm Nov 20th, 2017
Hey! Figured I'd give everyone a heads-up in regards to planned updates for Speak From the Heart.
For those of you who didn't see my last update, I've been participating in National Novel Writing Month for the past few weeks. I've fallen pretty far behind in my word count goal, in part because of time spent editing new chapters, tying plot ideas together somewhat coherently (which requires more editing time), and writing faster than I can come up with new ideas. As a result, I've been feeling pretty torn on either updating on a regular basis and taking time out to edit properly, or putting off updates in favor of getting content onto the page that helps me meet my 50,000-word goal, that can just be edited and published later. After some thought, I've elected to go with the latter, and intend on reaching my goal by the end of the month in lieu of trying to crank out only a chapter or two, when there are more pressing plot events I want to examine and plan out.
What does this mean for you, the readers? Unfortunately, you likely won't see an update between now and November 30th, and probably only one more from then until mid-December, when I've finished my last final exams of my undergraduate career. That's not to say that I'll be dropping off the face of the Earth as before; it means that there will (hopefully) be about 5-6 chapters of material for me to edit and release regularly once things finally die down, and perhaps work on a special Christmas present in the meantime. I'm sorry that things will be quiet in the next few weeks, but I promise that I'll do my best to keep putting out for you all while trying to achieve my own goals.
As always, thank-you for reading!
Thanks for the update and dont worry. I can rest easy knowing that I just have to wait for more chapters and that you havent abandoned the fic, I appreciate it.
