It's time to ask a favor of you all, friends.
Tell me what fics on here made you truly, completely get mentally lost in their reality. I'm talking senses--full sights, sounds, smells, tastes, feels, etc. Who among these authors have proffered legitimate illusions for you?
Never had sensory experiences from reading before. But the fic that made me empathize with the characters and immersed me the most is A Rose is a Rose.
Well, since October is upon us, I'd like to point you to the first and so-far only chapter of Don't Go To Sleep, a creepy and atmospheric horror story, as well as Edification, which is an equally creepy oneshot. Then there's Guy Talk, a fun comedy that doesn't necessarily immerse your senses, but definitely gives you the feeling of tuning in each time for a radio program (and it contains TrixiexSpike!). First Week of Winter is an excellently-written horror story that crosses ponies with The Thing. It's kinda long, though. But the one story that really pulled me in and gave me LotR feels was an epic high-fantasy tale called It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door. Absolutely amazing.

A DPV (a.k.a. Creepydash) recommendation is a fine-pedigree recommendation indeed!

Wow, you brought me a whole bushel of words! Good boy!
TrixiexSpike?
429941 Well, there is some potential TrixiexSpike coming up in "Tagging Along With Trixie" isn't there? SOMEDAY?

"Dark Wanderings"
Veil of Thoughts by starwin. Nothing compares, in my opinion. It's one of those stories where after every chapter you ask yourself "What the buck did I just read?" But I loved every moment of it. Get up through chapter three at least, the story is a little slow up until that point. But seriously, I lived, moved, and breathed this thing while it was going. Highly recommend it.
