Thor Ragnarok · 6:23am Nov 4th, 2017
After a bad drought of films that were at best meh, we finally get ourselves treated to a superhero movie worth watching. Though I did miss opening night the past Thursday (Heh, heh), I did get quite a few laughs out of this movie.
So where have our favorite God of Asgard and Gamma Radioactive Man been since Age of Ultron? In the past two years, Thor has been wandering the realms in search of the Infinity Stones. He didn't find any but did stop Sultur from unleashing Ragnarok. And surprise, surprise, Loki is still alive after "Into the Dark World" (and a trip from Skull Island). But with help from Doctor Strange, Thor and Loki find their father, only for him to pass away. This, in turn, releases the Goddess of the Dead, and first child of Odin, Hela, who destroy's Thor's hammer and casts the two of them to a garbage planet, where the Hulk has made a home and is quite respected ever since (his head is one of the statues of the main tower alongside others such as Beta Ray Thor'). After convincing a former, and to date last, Valkyrie warrior, they return to Asgard.
But in the end, like Krypton, Asgard is destroyed, but unlike Krypton, most of the inhabitants actually survive and are en route to Earth... If Thanos doesn't kill them first.
Still an enjoyable film, and now for the wait for Justice League.
