    Fallout Review

It's been a while since I've done some reviews, so I figure I'm gonna review something that I've been getting into a lot as of late; Fallout! I have finally become integrated into the fandom, and I am happy for it, I've been in love with this series more and more as I get involved with it. I've gotten Fallout 4 in honor of the show (which I intend to review at some point after I finish it) and I

    Check In

    Afternoon/evening folks!

Sorry I haven't been checking in as often as I should; rest assured I'm not dead, I'm still here, just been silent as of late. Still working on fics, but also constantly debating with myself on what to focus on next, wanted to make some new stuff that isn't just Shattered or Star Wars. Wanna bring more folks in, do somethin' new.

    Top Ten Films/Series Of 2023/Reflections

First off, Happy New Year's Eve everyone!

Hard to believe another year has passed, hasn't it? *sighs* how time has flown by. A lot's happened this year; more stories, more creativity and entertainment has come, and I've learned more about myself, and I am very glad for that.

Top 7 Scariest Nancy Drew Moments · 3:05pm Oct 14th, 2017

This is a very late blog. I would have gotten to this earlier, but I was pretty tired and now my throat's feeling crappy. Good god, I hope I am not sick again. :pinkiesick: But now, I'm gonna get to my real purpose. This isn't much, but I want something Halloween related out.

As you guys know, I love Nancy Drew games, with their exciting puzzles, interesting characters and absolutely wonderful atmosphere. But often within those games, there comes a moment in some of their games that is just FREAKING SCARY. I mean it, if you think Nancy Drew is not scary because its just a mystery franchise, you're wrong. Nancy Drew has pulled out a lot of terrifying scares in their games, and some of them still haunt me to this day.

And tonight, I'll count my top 7 scariest Nancy Drew moments down for you. Why top 7? Cause, well... that's honestly all I can really think of right now. Lets get down to it!

7 Base Camp Attack, Creature of Kapu Cave.

Skip to 2:10 to see the actual attack.

Now this game isn't scary in the slightest, outside of maybe when you were a little kid you thought someone was going to kill you and seeing Dr Craven get up in his chair downright pissed at you for touching his tablet, but there's something in the very start of the game that's warranting a terrifying mark. Right at the very beginning, it starts out at nighttime, and we don't know but we can only assume someone or something is wandering over to the camp. And then what happens only a few seconds later? This thing starts sabotaging the campsite, destroying it! And all the while this happens, we don't get to see who this guy is over a creepy music session. It's definitely something to get your heart racing, and its an interesting way to start off a game.

6. Ghost Dogs Attack, Ghost Dogs Of Moon Lake

Nancy gets a call from an old friend of hers who left Moon Lake because of something that terrified her to no end. From what we know, she's constantly terrified when she's home at night time, and we're only given a few clues. Well, except for the obvious title card, but then when it actually gets to night time...

This entire scene happens. Dogs are throwing themselves against the doors and windows, trying to get in, the electricity is going out, and we get a good shot of one of the dogs outside which has glowing green eyes! But that's not the strange part, the strange part is this! Nancy's friend says they attack her house a lot but you know what? They only attack right at the beginning and then... nothing. They never attack the house again, we never see them again, we don't hear them again, nothing. They only come up near the end of the game, but that's it. We never find out what happened to them. Why Her Interactive, Why!?

But oh well. Still though, its a very interesting way to start off a game, and it does send shivers down your spine.

5 Elliott's Death Face, Haunted Carousel

I couldn't find any separate clips of this without someone talking over it, so I'll describe it as best as I can.

The mystery of this game comes down to finding a stolen carousel horse which apparently had missing jewels from a jewel heist. And so now Nancy is on the search for this horse. Near the end, she does end up finding it, along with finding out who's the culprit for causing the whole haunted carousel factor. And that seems bad, but listen to this.

"Right on all accounts. Unfortunately, you're not going to get to tell anyone else. Ever." --Elliott.

"No wait, look what I have! They're diamonds, real diamonds! Someone stole them 23 years ago, and stashed them in the park!" --Nancy

"Well, well, little icing on the cake." -- Nancy.

Now down here, you have two options. Either toss the jewels at Elliott, or refuse. But imagine this part when you refuse to do so.

"But if you think I'm letting you have them, you're nuts!"

"You're toast now Nancy..."

Elliott immediately transforms into creeper mode. He slowly starts going up into Nancy's face doing what I can assume is going to strangle her throat while he gives the creepiest face, EVER.

:rainbowderp:

What. The Heck... Was That? That was the creepiest face I've seen made from a game! And you know what, they pull that two more times! If you managed to slip by Elliott to the stage where he's right across a trap door, you need to plan a way to get him away from you. But one of two things can happen. If you try to walk away to the door, you are electrocuted, you wake up, and creeper Elliott gets even closer into your face. Two, if you just stand still and don't do anything to stop him, he's just gonna move himself underneath the hanging sign, and then strangle you there.

Both of those are creepy, and that guy gave me nightmares back when I was a little kid, I hated that creeper. But now... no, its still disturbing. But either way, he's earned a spot on this list for having the creepy face for strangling.

4 Not-Frankenstein's Monster, Captive Curse

In this entire game that takes place in Germany, Nancy has to find out who this peculiar monster that's been stalking Castle Finster's grounds. Now, most of the time when you deal with the monster in present times, it seems alright, he's just wandering around and causing some minor damage, but when you get the opening flashback... holy hell, that's terrifying!

The very first scene of the game takes place a long time ago in Germany. And this girl who just went either flower picking or berry picking, but then moments later, she's being chased by this Frankenstein looking monster. She runs her way back to the castle, begging to be let back in, the monster is slowly right behind her, and just as she looks back...

He starts tap dancing!

No, no, that's not what happens. Its in the blooper reel though, and that was great :rainbowlaugh:

No, here's what really happens. The monster approaches her, he reaches one arm out, and then all we see is the girl thrown into the darkness as her screams fade away... and the worst part is... we never find out what happened to her. I don't recall knowing what ever happened to her, we don't know if she survived, if the monster killed her, nothin! I don't know! What happened to her? I need closure for that girl!

But oh well. For a frightening scene with no idea what happens, this does leave you asking a lot of questions in the right way.

3. The Ghost Woman, Shadow At The Water's Edge.

Nancy Drew is staying at a ryokan in Kyoto Japan while sighting seeing with her friends, but soon she finds out that the place she's staying at is getting a bad reputation for being haunted. And the horrors show up first starting at night with a ghost woman walking outside her balcony, and then later when the baths are open for women, Nancy goes into them and then is introduced to... this horrifying scene!

How can I even describe this? First of all, where was that woman when she walked in? No seriously, where was she? And second of all, where did she go when Nancy took a look? One minute she's there, and she's gone! How!? And I'm not even gonna question the fact that Nancy has just been proven vampire in this scene since we never see her! Well, whatever the case is, it was a downright scary scene and that's why its worthy of this spot here on the list.

2 Legend of the Crystal Skull

Its just the game itself guys! The game has a lot of creepy atmosphere, what with the nonstop rain, dark mood lightening, and even creepy surroundings. You are in a house with only two occupants, and an iguana, and outside is a giant cemetery. The house belongs to an orphan who's only remaining uncle died when coming in through the front door, and to top it all off the game starts off with you being attacked by a skeleton man.

That is awesome! I love this game's atmosphere which makes it even more bone-chilling. And that little doll that showed up in the chair with no explanation? God. :rainbowderp:

And the number 1 scariest Nancy Drew moment is...

1 Ghost Of Thornton Hall

No, I have no words. Just Ghost Of Thornton Hall. The entire game is filled with things that jump at you and scare you at every corner. It never lets up. I'd show you the clips of it, but that'd give away the fun.

Nancy Drew is asked to come over to Thornton Hall which apparently has a dark history with a daughter dying in a fire, and the one of the only remaining daughters is allegedly kidnapped. So now, you have to find out what happened to her, and what had become of the deceased daughter, Charlotte Thornton...

This game is a major A+. Not only is the atmosphere dripping with horror, but it has an interesting story and likable characters added on too. Filled with cheating on romantic partners, loss of loved ones, ghosts in fancy red dresses, and its just filled with lots of great spooky moments. This is a game worth playing, and I guarantee this one will deliver the best scares if you get ahold of it. Its a great mystery, great horror, all of which makes a great game.
