Will anyone be attending this next year? I guess it's basically TrotCon minus ponies (so not as good). Same venue as TrotCon, about 11 weeks later. Normally, I can only attend one convention per year, but I might be able to do a second if it's this one. Not totally sure yet if I'll be able to go, but I'd love to see some familiar faces if I can
Also, I wanted to share some stuff I recently ordered!
Getting some custom Chucks made. Haven't worn those shoes since high school, but they — along with New Balance — used to be some of my favorites. Apparently, the way I dressed in high school was incredibly stereotypical for teenage trans girls. Go figure
I also got a couple Sailor Moon shirts
And I couldn't very well pass this one up, now could I?
Alsø alsø, I have lost a total of 55 lbs. and just started laser hair removal. Oh, and I've been on hormones for about 2 months now! Kinda forgot to update y'all about that
Things are going well! :D
Nice!
What is Buckeye Pop! then? If it's TrotCon without ponies, it would be, um, NothingCon, right?
When I was in high school and early college, I was also stereotypical for trans: I wore the opposite mask so it was easier to hide from something buried deep in my subconscious (even though other people noticed). I never shaved or cut my hair. I looked like a cross between a less curly-haired Weird Al Yankovic and Osama bin Laden, except with butt-length hair.
People who see old pictures of me have a hard time believing it.

Yeah, I can't picture you looking like a guy. That just sounds weird. Like, I wouldn't even wanna see that because it's wrong
, you know?
I tried growing a goatee around 2007/2008, but constantly had to trim it because facial hair is maddening! A bit of stubble was easier. I'm pretty lazy, so I was able to let that shit grow for up to two weeks before it I absolutely had to shave it off (seriously, how can anyone stand to have it longer than that?!!)
From what I've gathered, BuckeyePop! is a generic Western animation convention run by the same people behind TrotCon. Not sure if they exclude anime, but there's no mention of it on their site
