[New Story] An Experiment in Friendshipping · 4:54pm Oct 5th, 2017
I wrote this one in about two hours, completely inspired by this artwork (sauciness warning). It's an experiment in two ways: to see if I can write anything involving Rarity and Spike, and to see if I can keep their interactions completely platonic. Overall, I'd say it was a success.
I suppose it also served as a challenge. Something with a limit on it while also shifting perspectives around. Nonetheless, this was a good little break from the super serious stuff I'm doing for FMP. Plus, I was able to get some pre-reading help after all! Turns out asking for help is fine as long as the project is relatively short.
My friend Cinder, who helped with quality assurance, is also in the process of making an original cover for the story. So far it's looking really good, so hopefully I'll be able to make this entirely original by next week. And who knows? If I need another break from FMP, I might just make a more shipping-heavy sequel. No guarantee, just a thought...but then again, a thought is what led to this experiment in the first place.
