Guys, Im sorry. I just can't write any more of Your Best Shot.
It started as a doodle. And then, well, it got out of hand. I just don't want to write it, and thats
what drove me out of here. It's like when you really have to clean your room, so you don't.
I'm just going to call it "essentially done". Someday, maybe, I'll finish it. But I'm sorry, I
just can't right now.
I wanna write for fun again, and it just wasn't fun to write anymore.
This is an honest, deep apology for not delivering on my promises.
aww D: oh well, I respect your decision and all, but I still has a sad because I think that was like the first fanfic I ever read and what convinced me that all fanfics aren't all bad. lol
any chance of passing the torch onto someone else? (not me)
No need to apologize, I've abandoned my fair share of stories, if you force yourself to do something that is no longer fun, you'll ruin the entire experience.
Trust me man, I've been here with you since day one. You're much better when you're writing for fun and not to please the crowd, either way, when you write for fun you please the crowd.
Sure! Take a break and maybe inspiration will come for it again. There are plenty of other stories to work on; some old, maybe some new!
Either way, I'm looking forward to more of your work!

Thank you all. Especially you, RT.
a break would be a great thing like RT said.
Haha, mmk. I know exactly how you feel, man. Maybe not towards writing, but I know it all the same.
Meh I like the fic, but mainly for Twiconequus. There wasn't enough Twiconequus in the fic anyway.
And of course don't keep going if you don't enjoy it. It's not like you're getting paid. Fanfiction is a labor of lve for the source material. It should not be a chore.
By the way. any plans to continue Familiars?
I had NO idea what story you were talking about until I looked it up, and went "OOOOH YEAH!" *slaps you with a literal iron neck*
In all seriousness though, I guess it was kind of obvious you were bored of writing it. For a good long while. The guy above me has the right of it, you're under no real obligations to write that story. There's no reason to keep writing a story if you genuinely do not want to. Well, okay, no, there's tons of reasons, they're why you tried to keep writing it after you lost interest - but none of them are good reasons, and you shouldn't force the issue. You can write the stories you WANT to write, and nobody who's worth a damn will hate you for it.
No worries dude, it was a good story but honestly I'd rather see you writing in general again rather than slaving over something you don't find interesting anymore. I look forward to seeing whatever it is you decide to work on next!
Well, I won't say that I'm not sorry to hear that you're shelving the story indefinitely, but I know very well that when the Muse isn't singing, you can't force her. Find another topic, I'm sure that you'll hit on something that makes you (and her) happy as a topic for a story, and when you're ready, share that with us. We'll still be here, waiting. e.deviantart.com/emoticons/moods/love/affection/adoration.gif
