A JD Review: MLP Season 7 Episode 21 - "Marks and Recreation"

The one where the children rebel.

Who knew you could snap your fingers with hooves?

So, the CMC start a camp for ponies to get their cutie marks, but Rumble starts a revolution against cutie marks (similar to Starlight) and basically declares that you're destined to do something you're good at, even if you like to do other things. Aside from the catchy song, I kind of found this message a little strange. Rumble himself just ends up joining the CMC's side of things, that he'll try things he enjoys even if he gets a cutie mark for something he's good at. His argument kind of... doesn't go anywhere, if that makes sense.

Overall, a decent episode. 7/10. What were your thoughts?

Haven't watched it yet, but I was just talking to someone recently about how different he (and honestly myself) were/was expecting Rumble to have a different personality in canon.

Granted, we knew little about him besides fanon, but did any of us honestly expect that he hates cutie marks like Starlight?

I wonder though when did Thunderlane became a full pledge wonderbolt

We missed his story arc
We last saw he was still a trainee but I'm not complaining also what's his callsign
