    Getting better bit by bit

My chemotherapy ended this week. Now I'm going through all the tests and stuff to see about rehooking up my guts so I don't have to have a bag hanging off me anymore. Once all that is done I hope to be on the up and up. Unfortunately it does sound like my recover from the surgery could be even longer than the initial one. I'm hoping it won't because it took me months to be able to recover

    Well this is bad.

If anyone has been wondering at my lack of activity, or even being on the internet much less here, the answer to that is quite unpleasant. I learned I had colon cancer about 3 or so months back. I've had the stuff cut out but due to how fast it was growing and their worries they couldn't wait for me to recover from a full surgery so now I've got a bag hanging from my stomach I have to empty for

    Series Finale

It ended precisely as expected with more or less the final lesson it needed to address dealt with. About the only real thing I feel they missed was dealing with the death of a friend and one could make arguments that was done in the episode in the past dealing with Dash and her reaction to Tank's hibernation. All around I'm rather satisfied that on the whole the series stuck to what one could

    New Season Start

Honestly, I rather liked the first two episodes this season. They even managed to portray Starlight in a way that I even found likable. Also, good job on continuity. So many shows let on like the movies are their own independent existence but this season picks up more or less the next day after the movie. I like that kind of story telling personally. I do hope we might see Tempest Shadow

So Powerful Mages Do Live Longer · 3:54pm Sep 23rd, 2017

Seems this finale is holding to the standard the show has been using pretty much since the start. Powerful enough magic users are resistant to age. This means Twilight was most likely going to outlive her friends long before she became a princess. Most likely she was going to outlive the average pony ever since she got her cutie mark given the raw amount of magic she unleashed demonstrating her powers to be more than enough to qualify.

Well, AJ could be another Granny Smith and live a few centuries herself. In fact, if you take some of the information at face value, Granny would have been much more fit if it weren't for her hip injury.

Same for the others. Heck, maybe becoming the Bearers comes with benefits! Or the Rainbow Power, or any number of other factors.

Pinkie is always Eternal, though.

Since they all host the Rainbow Power, I agree that they'll all live longer than average now. AJ I expect to live at least two centuries since her grandmother has at least done the same. As for Pinkie... well I consider her an eldritch abomination so of course she is eternal. Assuming she isn't killed somehow through diabetes anyway.

She just transcends her physical body and becomes pure energy magic party power.

Also, her kids spread far across the globe and manage to cartoon-shenanigan it into a higher plane of existence as well.
