    Getting better bit by bit

My chemotherapy ended this week. Now I'm going through all the tests and stuff to see about rehooking up my guts so I don't have to have a bag hanging off me anymore. Once all that is done I hope to be on the up and up. Unfortunately it does sound like my recover from the surgery could be even longer than the initial one. I'm hoping it won't because it took me months to be able to recover

    Well this is bad.

If anyone has been wondering at my lack of activity, or even being on the internet much less here, the answer to that is quite unpleasant. I learned I had colon cancer about 3 or so months back. I've had the stuff cut out but due to how fast it was growing and their worries they couldn't wait for me to recover from a full surgery so now I've got a bag hanging from my stomach I have to empty for

    Series Finale

It ended precisely as expected with more or less the final lesson it needed to address dealt with. About the only real thing I feel they missed was dealing with the death of a friend and one could make arguments that was done in the episode in the past dealing with Dash and her reaction to Tank's hibernation. All around I'm rather satisfied that on the whole the series stuck to what one could

    New Season Start

Honestly, I rather liked the first two episodes this season. They even managed to portray Starlight in a way that I even found likable. Also, good job on continuity. So many shows let on like the movies are their own independent existence but this season picks up more or less the next day after the movie. I like that kind of story telling personally. I do hope we might see Tempest Shadow

I've had the stuff cut out but due to how fast it was growing and their worries they couldn't wait for me to recover from a full surgery so now I've got a bag hanging from my stomach I have to empty for the next 6 months while I go through chemo. I've already been to the ER twice in as many weeks due to complications. I'm hoping after I survive this, and they all seem to think I will, I will be back to being active but right now just getting in a computer chair and typing is more of a chore than I feel like investing in. Sorry, hopefully I'll be around more next year. I'm only 41 keep in mind. I suggest people really start to get a colonoscopy around 40 due to my own experiences because I had no warnings about my own health's downturn.

OUCH AND A HALF. Really hoping things turn out for the best. :unsuresweetie:

On account of Crohn's/colitis, I've needed to get colonoscopies almost every year since since I turned 21. Michigan, I needed two of them this year because the first one somehow didn't take. Plus side is that my doctors have been able to catch anything that could remotely be a problem. Minus side is the necessary prep for it, but to anyone who reads this: the plus far outweighs the minus.

Aye. I can expect a similar schedule once they get me put back together for at least the next decade to make sure the cancer doesn't come back.
