I swear, Oracle, if you label another release of Java as "i586" and instead give me an i686 binary, I'm gonna be very, very annoyed.
Random Fact: i586 is one of the longest-lived supported microarchitectures I've ever seen, and it'd be a bit sad once it goes completely unsupported. In a way, most programs such as browsers have already largely dropped support for the platform, and Microsoft stopped supporting it with the introduction of Windows 8. Other than those two main things (browsers and OS's), many programs will still run happily on the platform.
Thoughts & Opinions~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow, normally I post these things like, five hours later than I am now.
I'm still mildly irritated by the fact that Java is still listed with the 32-bit builds as "i586" even though it's built for a minimum of the Pentium Pro/Pentium 2, which are i686.
I put glasses on my doggo. He don't care. He look cute. Yaaaaaaay.
Seriously though, I put some prop glasses I used for Halloween a few years ago on my dog while he was half-asleep and he just doesn't seem to care. He just wants to sleep.
That's all (for now), folks!
