This analysis is just my personal opinion on the work of DisneyFanatic2364, not a review. Is not intended to be an exhaustive or definitive analysis of her work. This analysis may contain spoilers from her works.

On August 2010, a young girl created a Youtube account by the name of DisneyFanatic2364 (or DF for short). Despite that name, Disney's not the only thing she was a fanatic for. This was demonstrated by a stop motion series she began years ago, although not far from the style, with respect to the tone of the story, and where in the end she decided to not continue.

This prolonged for 3 years until she witnessed a TV program that became a sensation over the world. With the success a show like MLP was having and, after she experienced herself, she decided to publish a story that became a phenomenon in the community.

Bride of Discord: Based on Beauty and the Beast, this story is the starting point for the author and it's her acknowledgement to the world, it even has many of her defining traits. Due to the obvious inspiration and source material, it feels predictable, but she's able to give her story its own uniqueness and characteristics to set it apart from other variations and interpretations. A complete classic from pony literature.

By this success, she expanded her own universe and thus, she wanted to explain more of her world. With no resting during various months, she published various stories connected to Bride of Discord, these went from adventures of the Mane 6's childs (CMC: The Next Generation) or some festivities (Hearth's Warming Chaos) and often to explore side characters from said story.

The Discord Dating Game: DF has stated in multiple occasions that Sparity was one of those couples "she hates but everyone else loves" and prefers to ship them with other characters she believes fit in better. This story is proof of that way of thinking, at developing a plot where Discord creates a dating game in his bathroom and helps Spike with his relationship problems by making him discover his true love. Although I ship Sparity (with Raripants and Spikember as a close second for each of the two), this feels more different by actually talking about what is true love and being one of the few Applespike stories that remain to date.

And, just immediately after this expansion, DF decided to give a sequel to her most popular story.

Daughter of Discord: This follow-up features one of the early appearances of Screwball, a background pony which many people labeled as "Daughter of the Lord of Chaos" and in some aspects, it defined the personality she has nowadays. It also introduced Chrysalis and an early expansion of the changeling Kingdom. With references to Lion King 2 (which is already a distorted version of Romeo & Juliet) and focusing more on the Mane 6's children, it's not as good as the original, but it has the spirit of the predecessor. Nowadays it still has the title of the most popular Screwball story on the site.

Shortly after posting all these stories, she decided to do an adaptation of her first hit. One of the first audio dramas (if not THE first one) of the show and it gave her more recognition. It took two years of production, but it was worth it. Enough to spawn another sequel.

Son-in-law of Discord: This third entry of the Bride of Discord series is basically the Godfather III of the trilogy. Not because it's bad, but because anything that would come after two hits wasn't going to live up to the high. Even the change of the source material is stranger for the story, since it looks and feels more like Meet the Fockers (ok, maybe not to that extend, but the similarities are there). This was the point where DF was starting to run out of ideas for the series, and I think she knew that, so there was no option but to give this series a definitive rest.

I Am Not Gay: To respond to thre previous point, this is one of her many attempts to create a story more different than the usual, with unexpected results. This is her first time dealing with a topic such as sexuality and gender identification. Like she said, "This is not a story about being gay or not gay, but on uncovering one's identity and coming out." All these aspects give this story a more personal touching and a bigger closeness to her persona.

She had written non-related Fluttercord stories before, but not very often and, although they received good reception, didn't leave an impression like her previous works. This was understandable because she was busy with her personal life, giving her less time to write. This was notorious in her schedule, where she stopped for half year. When she finally had time to bring something to the table, she recycled the main concept of her previous attempts to focus them in other genres.

The Nutcracker and the Chaos King and Precious Blood: There's not much to say about these versions of Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky's ballet and Bram Stoker's novel. Both have more elements from MLP to set it apart from other adaptations, but at the same time they feel more of the same, even if the treatment is different. Now romance and terror are the main focus and she uses characters different to her usual ones (most of the time) to tell an adaptation in her own unique way. I have to give more credit to Precious Blood, it's more personal and, alongside DiabloGuapo's version, a great reimagening of Dracula. The ideas are there, the spectacle is there, DF's vision is there, but as a whole, are her weakest stories.

It Only Happens When I Dance With You: One of the few one-shots from the author, dealing with romance and a couple who had their glory days when they first came out. Focusing once more on the romance, but this is a different approach. Now deals with eternal love and how does it affects a person, how doing the same things can affect mentality and how to revive passion.

I learned with all these examples that, even in a rainy day, DF is spectacular. This girl is recognizable is every single way and maybe more. I talked about this with anteriority, but I'm sure she is one of the best writers of the fandom because of the impact she has had over the years, both in and out of the fandom. And, it's not for being presumptuous, but a comment I wrote in one of her blog posts a long time ago says it best.

When you see in the eyes of a person he learnt something thanks to you, you know your life has changed forever.

Some recurring images:

-Fluttercord
-Applespike and Soarindash as secondary couples
-Inspiration from literature
-Romance issues
-Family reunions
-Reimagening of classic stories

Hmm, all I can say is...I've never seen "Meet the Fockers" (or heard of it for that matter) or any of "The Godfather" movies; and "Precious Blood" wasn't based on "Dracula." Granted, it was in a similar genre to "Dracula," but I did not base the story on the novel. If you read the book, you'll see that the plots don't really share any similarities. The only real things they have in common is that there are vampires, it takes place in the nineteenth century, one of the vampires lives in a creepy castle in Transyl(Trample)vania...that's it. Only real reference I make is connecting the Sirens with the three brides of Dracula.
Not to mention...Dracula is NOT a vampire romance. There is romance, but it is NOT one between a vampire and a mortal.
My only arguments here. Thank you for your analysis!
