Story: The Cruelty of Kindness

So funny story. After finishing with The Paladin of Prismatic Light I thought to myself, 'I should write a short story to take a break from super time consuming ones like that. I know I'll write one of my alternate universe stories with a fairly short bullet point list of main events.'

What do you mean it's been 6 months since I finished the paladin story?
*checks page count of current project*
How is this already that big when I'm not even done yet?

So yeah... It turned out i needed a break from the story I started writing to take a break from writing big stories. Go figure.

I also found the timing of that recent episode where they addressed several of the complainants made about the show from the fandom rather ironic. Especially since in Fluttershy's case the comments/complaints weren't so much about Fluttershy (as her counter argument is quite valid. It is hard from someone to change their nature, especially over night/in short order.) But was more aimed at the show's writers in not being very creative with her episodes. Especially since there are two perfectly good lessons in kindness that they don't really touch.

Those being the idea's of 'tough love' and 'some times kindness to one is cruelty to another.'

Anyway this is my take on a tough love story.
