Greetings Gotham, Joker here! Just thought I'd drop in for a little update on my planned Dark Archer Displaced project. After giving it a bit of thought, I've decided to have the story be contained in it's own universe, rather than be tied in with You Can't Lock Up The Darkness. This way, I'll have more freedom and control over the development process, namely the casting of the villains and other heroes of the story. Anyways, here's the long descripion:
My name is Jason Edwards. Or, at least it used to be. Truth is, Jason Edwards died in a drive-by shooting while he was on a date with his girlfriend, mere moments before he could propose to her. Now, I am Malcolm Merlyn, billionaire, pilantrophist, and CEO of Merlyn Global Group. At only 23 years old, I've become a titan of Manehattan Industry. I've dined with Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadence and her Prince Consort Shining Armor (nincompoop if I ever saw one) and the newly-crowned Twilight Sparkle.
Yet, at the same time, I've realized a horrible truth: Manehattan, the city I call home, is dying. Poisoned by a criminal elite who don't care who they hurt, so long as they maintain the wealth and power they've gained by stepping on the throats of other people, ponies, griffons, or whatever else. If I'm going to save my home, then I can't do it as Malcolm Merlyn. I need to be someone else.
I need to be... something else.
I am The Dark Archer. And this is my story.
