    To All Who Listen

Hey everyone, it's me: DiscoBiscuits... Or whatever else you wanna call me because I've changed my name five times! I'd just like to take the time to have a little bit of a heart to heart with my small fan base (which is perfectly fine). Of course as you all may know, I have a small amount of followers, but that doesn't mean they don't matter. To everyone who has followed me within the last

    Pandyssia - sample text

Just a sample of text from my new novel:

"Anton Sokolov's newest inventions are certainly the most advanced in the known world!" rang the intercoms in the outside air, musty and fresh with whale blood. The Month of Rain was without a doubt the dreariest twenty eight days until the harshness of the Month of Winds, Darkness, and High Cold follows. It is the twelfth day of Rain.

It has always stumped me on how busy fimfiction.net has gotten over the last year and a half. I would have expected a lot from this gaining popularity of the website, but that actually isn't the case.

The only thing that I find annoying is the way the featured box works (keep in mind that this is my opinion that nobody cares about). The way I think it should work is that the Mods and admins should be able to choose from their favorite stories, to give everybdy who hasn't been recognized can get the chance to be recognized.

Here is an example:

There is a story with 500 views and BAM! Thats all it gets, that is the highest veiws it is going to get because only a handful of people saw it before it was pushed down into the archieves off the main page. WTF.

The problem is that people are too lazy, am I right? People are too lazy to check the fanfiction that was posted twenty minutes before they got pushed down, but instead, they only check the front page and if nothing peaks their interests, they leave or go check their favorites.

What about those people that wrote some absolutly amazing fanfiction, but never got the views they deserved because they were pushed down.

Here is how I think this could be fixed:

- Bring back the related stories tab underneath all the fanfiction before the update a few months ago.
- Let the mods choose AS WELL AS the readers.
- STHAP BEIN SO DAMN LAZY
- Take the time to look around the site in a deeper standered, you will find some amazing fanfics you would have never heard of if you didn't check. If you don't check, then it might as well not even exist.
- Use your "Read Later" list a lot more. I have a ton on mine, which is how I keep track ever since they took of the tracking button.
- If somebody writes a good story, favorite and watch them! They are bound to write another thing that you will love.
- If you have noticed, extremley popular writers have a scarcity of watching others. They have ten, a tops (most of them). DON'T! Don't be afriad to watch people, if you check Meta Knight's page, he has over 3000 watches! And he writes some damn good fiction as well!
- COMMENT AFTER YOU READ A FUCKING STOREH!
- You won't be noticed if you don't notice others.

That's all I have to say. Thanks

My reasons are my wireless keyboard eats up batteries, school is eating up a lot of time and I have a ton of stuff I haven't got around to playing yet. The real issue is I can't stand repeating myself in comments, especially when other people say what I wanted to say better, plus with the explosion in fans the show has gotten, more fics are being written which means a lot of excuse my language fucking horrible stories have been put out with even worse summaries.

408145 I guess it's just one of the many flaws of a fandom. :rainbowlaugh:

Any story that begins with...I am a brony (Good for you...) or I am ___ years old and miserable (Get a diary) or _____ is a super awesome Mary Sue that everyone wants to hang out with (I don't care...) I try to avoid. :twilightoops:

Once I get around to updating my fics, I'm thinking of turning my blog here into a PC repair blog and help desk. Someone is bound to read it.

I trust recommendations from fellow fic-readers and people on my watch list. I hardly ever read anything that hasn't been recommended to me by someone whose opinion I more or less trust. And I comment purely based on the feeling the story left me with, it has to have struck me in some way to make me want to express my thoughts about it.

I agree with just about everything on this list. Whenever I see a story that looks good, I decide I'll read it later, and I come back in a few hours or something, and it's off the feature box. Which sucks because I can't figure out how to put a fic on my read later list on an iPod. :applecry: Also, just as a side note, I'm not too sure if the mods should be able to add their favorite stories to the box. No offense, but I think that would be going just a bit too far. But I agree with basically everything else. :pinkiehappy:

you should add fics to groups. That's where I get all my later views.
