You'd think using an electric hand drill wouldn't take much effort from your part. You know, cuz it's electric and all. Shows what kind of fool I am.
So I am at my parents place again. Don't know how long of a visit this is, but considering that I have been tasked with constructing a terrace, this might take a while. Dunno how much writing I'm going to do, and also sorry for the lack of updates. Still working on the pony dating story for patreon, and I have been spending too much time doing other stuff and too little writing. I have basically everything planned out, what's going to happen and so on, but I just can't put in to words. Maybe some back breaking work will motivate me not complain so much and just do my damn job I promised to do.
You should never think that you are doing something bad by creating chapters slowly, trust me. Take as long as you need to. As long as you can upload chapters at a semi-reasonable pace nobody has the right to complain. I try to stick with taking no longer that 2 weeks for my story, and I write it in segments throughout those weeks. Doing this allows me to do other things without feeling guilty about the time it's taking. Maybe you could try doing the same? I know you are probably a lot more busy than I am normally but I have been using this method for the last couple of months and it has worked out really well for me.
Another thing you can do is create a group to notify people of chapter progress. In doing so, you would allow people to stay up to date with chapter progression and give people a place to come to should they want to ask something or talk with you publically.
These are, of course, suggestions from one author to another. Hope they help
Yeah, if it's a cordless drill, you might have a stupidly heavy battery to hold up. In any case, that sounds like a lot of work.
Remember to "measure twice and cut once".

Maybe if everyone tells him it's okay to take it slow, he might listen.

Butbutbut...I want to be able to write every week ;__;

I think everyone wants you to be able to do that, but they also want you to not feel too bad when you can't or don't and to allow yourself whatever amount of time is necessary for the creative process to work to produce the best content you can. In other words, don't be too hard on yourself.
However, is Phase 1 of the "terrace" complete? How soon will you be conquering the neighboring countries to bring them the joys of Finnish breads? The Hierarchy of Rye will not tolerate delays!

No! Bad cat! You can't do them weekly with all this stuff going on in the background. I would say that in order to balance everything else and not burn yourself out, two weeks is pretty much the minimum. If you keep forcing yourself to write you will lose motivation. Wanna see what happens when people lose motivation? Go look at my stories. Odium is the only one I still write. That will happen to this story is you keep forcing yourself, so sit back, grab a cup of tea, and RELAX.

Hnnnnnggggg!!!!!!!!!
...I'll try.
Also, this is what we have managed thus far, if you want to see.
Those metal tubes are a real pain in the ass to drill in to the ground, but luckily lordelliott knows that I have rye in my wrist, so it'll be fine.
