So I made a big mistake. In TAY, write out the locations of three artifacts and in the follow up chapter I for some reason switched two of them around. The good news is now I fixed it so apologies for the confusion. Mira of the story: don’t interrupt the chapter you’re working on by doing another story.

Yeah, but research is time consuming and some people want to jump in and start writing now. Not to mention, Neil Gaiman pointed out the quality of his work didn't really suffer when he wrote it on a deadline as opposed to when he was in the zone, he felt it was brilliant either way. Then again, he had specialized training and writing for him isn't a vocation but an art. I haven't quite reached that level myself and while I'm sure it could be mastered not everyone has the same advantages, least of all discovering new ways to worship their god through creation.
It happens to the best of us. Just explain what was wrong and if it was only the latest chapter you can retcon it.
