And uh...yeah. Its good. Not great, but not bad, not really. Like...I'm crossed between 7 out of 10 and 7.5 out of 10. Maybe 7.3?
Now, there are some serious flaws with this film. Its main one being its urge to switch scenes between serious and comedy a lot. There will be this intense action/danger sequence, only for it to suddenly switch to comedy out of nowhere. The new characters are also a bit wooden, mainly due to the fact that besides the villain, the new characters are both straight men in terms of comedy. Though the film does use this to its benefit since every character besides them are complete morons.
But...the film does a good job being funny. Granted, it concentrates a little too much on comedy, but I think it works with its tone.
I know this sounds vague, but I don't want to do any spoilers. Either way, this film is better than Pirates 4, but it doesn't compare to the first film. Though, it still does what it always does. Its a swashbuckling comedy. That's all there is to it.
Better than At World's End, that's for certain.
