    A Final (Proper) Final Farewell

Well, it's finally arrived at the time I've been dreading for more than a few months now. I honestly thought, when I first made my account on fimfic, that I'd have this for a good few years and that it'd be a nice place for relaxing, meeting people and discussing stories, due to my growing fondness of creative writing and that sorta thing. Now, if you'll excuse me for a few minutes, I'm gonna go

To the Capitalist Pit of Sin (America)

Goin' on holiday for two weeks, not gonna be able to write very much unfortunately. Visitin' Florida, fuck yeah! Still, I managed to get two new chapters of TLB posted this week, and six chapters on another story. Also, Skype:

[02:43:00] Siewwa: Heh. Your money is weiiiiiiird...
[02:43:06] Siewwa: All same-shaped, and green...
    [02:43:18] twow443: Okay, that's really funny.

    Sierra Reads a Write

Ok, put simply, I've realised exactly how many good stories I've read in this fandom. Not enough! To be honest, I wanna read some of the more widely-known stories that everyone refers back to at some point or another. End of Ponies, Fallout: Equestria (and derivatives thereof), not Past Sins, uh... yeah, that's the extent of my literary knowledge within the fandom.

    Apologies

Well, I just wanna get started by apologising for my complete absense from FiMFic for the past few weeks. It was unavoidable, really; lots of work, moving house, some sickness... but still, I'm ready to get writing again. *glances at favourites list* Oh, and reading... yup. Got a few chapters already written for The Lost Battalion, a few almost finished for Brushy, an almost-finished SoL story

    A Server!? Also, Updates

So, a quick rundown on stories:

A-Level exams. So, story-writing is nigh-on impossibru. Well, I could, but I wouldn't have enough time to write anything decent. Therefore, I'm going to leave writing until I'm in a better position to do so.

Reviewing · 8:57pm Oct 4th, 2012

I'm really getting into this reviewing business!

It feels good to be doing something for the community, and it is a good way to make the most of the limited time I actually get for writing. The charming blokes over at the TWE have been excellent, (mostly) writing excellent, descriptive reviews. Hopefully we'll soon become a recognisable presence here on FIMFiction, allowing us to help even more authors with their work.

Ok, onto my own writing.
Due to my frankly amazing foresight, I decided to take four academic AS levels.

AS Government and Politics
AS English Language (Language Analysis)
AS 19-20th Century European History (Germany, Russia and the Holocaust)
AS Computing (VS Basic Programming)

So yeah! My entire life now consists of writing essays; editing said essays; doing programming; flipping tables when said programs fail to work; deconstructing the English language; laughing at Republicans and readers of The Sun; admiring Bismarck's facial hair and filling many, many pages with notes. Unfortunately, this now leaves me with practically no time for writing pony fanfiction. Priorities, unluckily.

That said, I'm currently writing a LyraBon one-shot romance that may or may not turn out well. I'll post a lil extract below and you fellows can have your say. I'll continue to work on my multi-chapter fics once I'm ahead of my work. If it's any consolation, I'm practically top of the class in all my subjects!

And now: The Happiest Light of Day

"But we've got work to do!" Bon-Bon retorted, trying to pull the stubborn green mare out from underneath the covers. Lyra just looked at Bon-Bon with big, round eyes, begging her to come back to bed.

"Fine..." the cream-coloured mare sighed, crawling under the heavy, snug blankets. Lyra nuzzled into her neck, wrapping her soft, fluffy forelegs around her marefriend. They spent the next several minutes nuzzling each other, cuddling in the toasty, safe sanctuary of the bed.

'This isn't so bad...' thought Bon-Bon affectionately, rubbing Lyra's warm chest with one hoof. They laid there, quietly embraced in each other's hooves, sharing their warmth and their love. Eventually, however, Bon-Bon had to drag herself away from her beloved. They had a busy day.

(Still writing this transition, sorry 3:)

"Oh no you don't!" Bon-Bon laughed, pulling the duvet off of their luxurious bed, exposing Lyra to the frosty morning air blowing through the window. Lyra reluctantly sat up, surveying their messy room. The modest space wasn't messy by choice, but Lyra was a compulsive slob and Bon-Bon simply didn't have the time to clean up after the mare.

Currently at 1,000 words, hoping to get it up to about 3,500.

~Sierra, TWE's Raging Englishman

I love that title!

And finally, a picture. Due to these reasons right here:

It's never too early for Hearth's Warming Day ponies.
It's getting really cold over here in the UK.
You're all awesome.
Applejack and Applebloom are a great sibling pair.
D'awwwww

Where are mah subs!?

You may be the Englishman, but I am the Skylord. Dealwithit.

Lol, always love a little Lyra/Bon. If you want some title work, you know the drill i.imgur.com/hIzM2.png . Good luck with your classes though, I'm in the same boat. School's such an enormous time-suck, eh?

Good luck with your studies.

Also, that picture was just the D'aww I needed before going to sleep, thank you!

402447 Cheers Leaf! I might have a look around, see if anypony's willing to do some original cover art. I feel like having some unique images on my stories now dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Spitfire_sad.png Movin' on up! Hopefully I've pulled the LyraBon off well, I'm completely new to romance writing. There will be no clop by the way, its just a simple story about the love between Bonny and Lyra. dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Spitfire.png

402452 No problem! Snuggly Applejack/Bloom is an excellent note to end the night on! dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Spitfire_lazy.png

402453 Original art is always a good call. Still, if you want a sexy looking title, you know where to turn. i.imgur.com/fWbVx.gif

402465 Well, there's only one pony I could ever turn to for sexy titles! dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Trixie_lolface_2.png

Also, do you know anyone I could approach for original art? dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/misc_Spitfire_rape.png

Eh? A Brit. Much better than those people down below us Canadians.

402485

Well, they're included in the country that's for the most part wedged between Canada and Mexico. You know, the one that sticks their noses in everyone elses business and get the snot beat out of them occasionally. Few trillion in debt, half the people don't pay taxes. You know, what's their names.

402501 Love and tolerate bro. :rainbowkiss:

402506
I know. You have some good qualities. Most of my online friends are there, beautiful scenery too, and most of the things are cheap down there. But your economics are pretty much hell.

402512 Can't argue with that, lol. We do what we can.i.imgur.com/hIzM2.png

is as in britain like ap in the us

402887 in the us, we have ap classes, and theyre like college classes that you take in high school (9th-12th grades) that raise your gpa

British are, or can be, nice people.
Not a clue what AS means but that must be a dreadful amount of work...

19-20th Century European History (Germany, Russia and the Holocaust)

This must become convoluted quite quickly, particularly the Russian bit.

402512
Yeah, Americans don't make much sense when it comes to economics.
But what can one do? Educate themdl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/emoticons/lolface_Celestia.png

403534 Five hours a week of lectures per subject, and yeah, the History is getting pretty crazy! I guess A-level is one step below uni, and one above GCSE (secondary school)

403840
:twilightoops: That is insanity.

406015
You can keep your variant of Sparta, I do not wish to do that much work.

406025:rainbowlaugh:
Lunch will always have superiority over all else!
I'm assuming that you aren't using Russian textbooks, those would be ridiculously confusing.

406070
да, Alvays is confus-sing. Not one computeR technician understands difference between computer maodels, let alone the programs!
^that worked better than I thought it would^
History is hellish to attempt to understand in Russian textbooks as they change nearly every year.

406112 Although learning Russian history from Russian textbooks would be a lot more... righteous :rainbowlaugh:

406229 Can't argue with that:rainbowlaugh:

My heart just exploded. It splattered feel-juice all over my breath machines.

Feel-tastically,
~Plyxe

413051 I know, it's beautiful, right? I'm going to adopt this as a habit and put up a pic like this for every major holiday
