Reaction Sequel Update #2 · 8:17pm May 15th, 2017
Hello, everypony! I have an update for those of you who are interested in Reaction and it's forthcoming sequel. Details below the break.
So, for a while now, I've had the first chapter sitting at "almost done," but recently, I realized two things. One, a somewhat major part of it might feel forced, so I kind of need to go through that and might need to rewrite it. It kind of affects the entire plot of the story, since that part is kind of telling you a lot about what's going to happen, and... I probably said too much there. You may see it when you read it. Also on this note, it's kind of woven into a lot of the first chapter, so this could cause some delays.
Next, remember when I said I didn't plan to ever try to write 15k word chapters (especially biweekly?), well, this chapter is sitting at 10k so far, and it's not finished yet, and I cannot give a proper estimate, although it could range from 13k-17k. So yeah, I may actually be writing another story with long chapters. I don't know how that's going to work out, considering that this story isn't planned to be as long as Reaction. Still can't give an estimate on length, partially because I could end up surprising myself. I know what I want to happen, mostly, but still, writing and all that, plus a few things I'll probably want to add but don't know yet. Not sure how chapter length/ my long scenes will work when it comes to the darker aspect of the story. Those scenes will probably be interwoven into other chapters.
Also worthy of note is that I have nobody currently to preread for me. One of my friends (who preread Reaction [most of it but not all of it]) probably won't want to preread it because of the darker aspect, and I don't want to force him too, plus since he hasn't read all of Reaction, and he's rather busy, I don't really want to ask him. And my other two prereaders, well, neither of them are really fans of shipping, so yes. This may take some figuring out.
Third, I originally was going to have some spoilers in this paragraph, but I decided against it.
And finally, the tentative release date is June 3rd. What can I say, things have been going okay. I'll post another update if something comes up.
I'm really, really looking forward to two specific, maybe three specific scenes I have in mind to include in this story.
