You don't have them up anywhere besides Amazon, do you? I want to buy them all, but I refuse to give those scumbags my money after the shit they pulled with their criminally underbuilt Kindle.

Nope. Amazon is the only retailer for the current future.

I always loved my Kindle, so no issues there. You don't have to read them on a Kindle, you know. You can read them on a phone. And I get most of that money.

But ... Your call.

4502066 Eh, I'll figure something out later.

As for the Kindle, I had one a few years back until the screen broke which I thought was extremely suspicious since I am very gentle with electronics (my first cell phone lasted 10 years). After they were unhelpful over the phone since it had been a gift that sat unused for about a year when I had no free time during college, I cracked it open to see what the deal was since I'm a mechanical engineer and was working in electronics packaging at the time. What I found was that there was absolutely nothing to support that giant screen besides the relatively flexible plastic case which is completely inadequate since those screens cannot survive any significant bending (in engineering terms, you probably couldn't see the amount of bend it takes to kill it) and aren't ridged enough to prevent bending on their own so they require a backing plate (usually aluminum) to reinforce them. I then looked up the relevant consumer protection laws to confirm that it is in fact illegal to underdesign a product like that and called Amazon back. I explained the problem to them, read the section of the applicable law word for word, and offered a compromise where they could replace the Kindle with a more basic version since I didn't care about the wireless features in the original device, but they basically told me to fuck off. I also sent in an e-mail complaint which was ignored and got the bank to refund some of my recently purchased ebooks, but at the end of the day it just wasn't worth dealing with the courts over so I adopted a policy of never doing business with them again, bought a Barnes & Noble Nook which is properly designed, and let the matter drop.

Anyways, I hope that clarifies my problem with them for you and anyone else who reads this.
