I would totally love to write a story about this but · 8:32pm Oct 2nd, 2012
When I saw this image I got the feel that not a single skyrim-MLP crossover pic has given me... that of hearing the background, über-manly chorus of the main theme going HAH, HUAH, HEI! HAH, HUAH, HEI! with all the huge drums and everything. Just that part though, before the brass gets in goes all pompus high epic on the previous brutal, rythmic strength.
It's really inspiring and powerful and I wanna write something around it.
However, as it turns out, I have to research some shit for "Nothing interesting": specifically, race conflict (specifically how the "native" feels about the "colonist", specifically the black man about the white man, migration, cultural assimilation, cultural appropriation, miscegenation, loss of identity and its reconquering, loss of self-esteem and its reconquering, racism and reverse racism), class conflict (ambition and social mobility, repression from above, nepotism, tall poppy syndrome, self-sabotage, class guilt, class resentment, class hatred, anti-intellectualism, authoritarianism, revolt and revolution).
And I also need to research plane dog-fighting. Pegasi do the impossible, but I need to know what is possible first so that the featureless plane of imagination develops some lines I can walk along and deviate from.
So I'll probably be some time before I release my next chapter.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
The Anvil is hard,
The Hammer is strong,
The Smith strikes Her Steel,
And the knell sings Her Song.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
The ring of the Iron,
The hiss of the Forge,
Are Her Testament, Her Witness,
Her Covenant, Her Lord.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Earth of the Old World Equus,
Born of the Anvil and Flame,
The Smith left her Forge,
To assuage Her brother's Shame.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Heat. Heart. Hate.
Some of those verses don't really scan... but thank you! That was really awesome!
398069 I keep forgetting how awesome that was!
