    Winter storm

Any of my other southern bronies singing winter wrap up with ice in the bathtub and the oven running to try to warm the house up enough to open the door. Needless to say, looks like I get a staycation from work.

    Update Mid Crisis

It feels like every drive is Sunday at one in the morning. Kinda feels funny, eight months ago, I had only just gotten my license. Now I drive a borrowed car with a letter from work taped to my dash stating the fact I am an essential worker.

    Update (Nov 11)

Kish, it's been a long time since the last time I checked in. Haven't had much time to. But since today I don't have the response time for gaming, the mental faculties for writing... and most definitely the lung power to do anything physical... I figured I might as well catch you guys up.

In short, I'm down with the flu.

The Vaccation Village · 4:12am Apr 16th, 2017

The cobblestone path stretched before us as we trudged up the steep incline. Farm fields on either side of us stretched as far as the eye coud see. The Sun, high in the sky was warm against our flesh as the cold air hit against us.

"Not this dream!" I muttered under my breath as a knot formed in my throat. It did have to be this one... The vaccation town.

I'm not sure exactly when I had the dream, but that doesn't mean the events had disappeared into forgotten memory. I would guess it was right after my real, and very horrible experiance of my first vaccation back when I was 16... Which is a story for a different day. This dream was that, made whole lot worse. I could remember with absolute vividness as 'he' a well trusted 'friend' had... taken advantage of me.... The betrayal of the new-found friend still burned in my memory. The moment at the beach... The shame... but a shame that my companions knew nothing about. But it's just a dream I thought... This is just a dream.

As we marched on, the fields turned slowly into watermelons. "Here V, carry this one for us. It'll make for a nice treat tonight."

I groaned, but obeyed. The watermelon vines were dried, but the fruit were large and ripe. Ready to be picked.

Again we trudged on, until we got to the gates. In shame, I hid the watermelon beside the path in a thicket while Mom knocked on the town's large gate.

The guard knew us, and the gait swung wide admitting us.

Again fear flashed unmercifully through my mind. Another flashback from the previous dream. I knew it was just a dream, but that didn't mean I didn't fear a repeat. The man who opened the gate... it was the same- the very same... I shuttered.

"Greetings and welcome! It's good to see you all back."

I could feel his eyes burn into me, I did not make eyecontact. Shivering harder fearing the pain... oh the pain was still there...

"Miss V, The mayor also sends his greetings, and forwards an special invitation to you."

For a moment, our eyes met. His dark, brown eyes burning into mine with the same gentle care that he'd shown me the first time we met. The same gentle, friendly eyes... that made me trust him, made me want to get closer, know this man better...

But now I knew better, I sighed nodding, the memory of the moment of betrayl running like a broken recored over, and over and over through my head. The corner, the bright orange curtain, the giggles from the lake nearby...

My expression was cold, divoid of all emotion as it should be. I couldn't allow him to read anything in me, or about me. Not after.... "Alright, Thanks for letting me know."

"Enjoy your stay!" He cried as I walked quickly on, letting the rest of the family deal with the lugage and getting it sutuated. I headed towards the mayor's office.

It was a beach style village, on the edge of a luxurious fresh water, sparkling, mountain lake. The huts were all of the typical stone, built soundly within the mountain. I found his quicky, it's beautiful stone face was perfect, making use of the verity of stone. Probably costing a fortune. As I reached the door, the guards snapped to attenion. I didn't even have to knock as I was fully trapped within my thoughts. The doors simply opened as I flowed through and into the grand office.

"Miss V, I'm very relieved you chose to come back after so long. Please, have a seat."

"I prefer to stand." I replied.

He was a tall, bald man, with a white mustach. His face was round and puggy, and his ears too large for his face. His nose too stuck out like a great bird's beak.

His eyes twinkled gently. "Please, I- was informed of your previous visit's concution."

My look hardened. "How..."

"Please m'lady. It's of no concern really, I simply know, and I'm deeply sorry you had such a disappointing end here. Please, all expences are payed for you this visit. I will ensure that you are safe..." Again he trailed off, his smile still gentle and caring, a bit of sympathy I noted lingered in his eyes.

I looked away. "I don't deserve it."

"This is where you are supposed to be able to go to get away from everthing m'lady. Please..."

I sighed nodding. "I thank you."

"Please also, dont' forget, this evening is the dinner by the lake. I do hope you choose to grace us with your precence."

I nodded. "I'm sure my father will want to attend. I might sit by the water's edge."

He nodded knowingly. "Enjoy your stay."

"No promices... but I'll try."

"That's all I ask."

I knew the battle was far from over, for the moment I stepped out of the office... there he was. I blew past him without even giving him a nod on my way to my appartments.

For hours, after getting changed into my beach attire, I simply wandered the halls, my feet knowing the paths, seeing the sights that I for so long had pushed back into the back of my mind. This place... this place I wanted no memory of, but yet could never be forgotten.

The orange curtains fluttered gently as I moved through the lake side hut.

I paused to listen as children giggled in the mineral springs. I observed a gaggle of ladies having a spa date.... I continued, I walked, I slipped from one door to the next for hours just watching, listening, and remembering.

As I sat watching a game of poker, I looked up to see the sun beginning to go down.

"Miss V, the party is about to begin, shall you join us?"

I looked around to see the mayor behind me. I sighed. "I suppose, I don't have much choice do I?"

"You have as much choice as any of us, if not more, you are the dreamer after all."

I winced. "Indeed."

"Please join us, nothing has happened. Find peace with yourself, and with us, and join the celebration."

"What is there to celebrate?" I asked wryly.

"It's Good friday my child, or have you forgotten. Soon it will be Easter, join us, and celebrate with us, since you won't, and haven't prior."

I nodded... I now knew what was coming, and dispite the frown that wanted to take over, the smile took it's place. I did know what that ment... Communion, the gathering...

"Remember, you weren't the only one who's ever been betrayed. Judus killsed Jesus, and Pater whacked off the servant's ear."

I smiled half giggling remembering that was the line I'd used in a play. "That was brilliant." I said finishing the next line. "Fine, you've made your point, I'm coming."

So together on the beach, we enjoyed the water. I found a beach chair and kicked back as I continued to observe.

"Just because a dream starts the same, doesn't mean it'll end the same." 'he' stated as he came to stand beside me. Remember, it's still just a dream, and I'm just as much a part of you as any of the rest of us. And the mayor thanks you for the watermellon."

My face went white as a ghost.

"I'm a part of you remember." He laughed before moving on once more.

As he moved, I relized I did know his name... and I knew who he was as well.

As the sun went down, and the colors played across the sky, I got up, and cut myself a huge silce of cake. Savoring each bite of the perfect flavor, knowing that the price would be nigated within the relm of sleep.

And so the dream ended...

-------------------------

This was last night's dream. I have to admit, it REALLY caught me off guard. Especially as the two dreams overlapped. The first had been... very, very scary. Started out alright, but it'd gone from bad to worse as I couldn't find things, then the final betrayal at the end.... this was so different, so very different.

Well I hope you enjoyed.
Happy Easter,

Wow. I forgot dreams could really be quite surprising, I guess is a decent word, sometimes.

Happy Easter! Hope it was an amazing day.

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you.

4498985 it's a dream... I did have several horrible beta yaks in the past couple of years... but still...

4498979 sometimes. My dreams are wild.

I set my sights on the Vacation Village early in my career. Getting into that theme park was my ultimate goal. And now, after all these years of dreaming... I would have to spend the rest of my eternity there! Dubai Classifieds
