Miss Koi Reviews The Season 7 Premier AKA Celestial Advice and All Bottled Up

Season 7 is finally here you guys! :D Wohoo! And Happy Easter/Spring Filled Day tomorrow to all!

Before we begin, I have to give props to Hasbro for doing an excellent job in advertising for Season 7:) Finally, they started to hype up one of their most popular shows (or rather their only popular show)!:0 Lol;) But anyway, it was nice having these little commercials letting us know that yes Hasbro cares and that Season 7 will be great<3 (here's some of my favorites down below:3)

(This was my favorite commercial, until after I watched the premier because it overhyped me on what might happen in this episode but then it turned out it was just a fanstasy:/ I mean, I can see why Hasbro did it but still:/ But this doesn't change that this is still a well edited and played trailer and that this premier was still wonderful:))

Now, in terms of these two episodes, this premier was WAAYYY better than the Season 6 premier and the Season 4 premier:D I definitely enjoyed this opening to the new season and it makes me excited for the rest of the season:)

Despite it being an odd non-two parter premier to a season, something we've never had before, there were highlights that made this stand out and those highlights were:
1) Discord (don't you know that Discord is always first on my list;))

2) Spike

3) Celestia

4) Starlight and Trixie together

5) The humor, especially the humor

The humor was well written in these episodes, especially in episode 2 (I don't know if it was because of Trixie and her interaction with Starlight & the rest of the town or what, all that I know is that the humor satisfied me and help make up for the lack of action that season premiers usually have) All the funny moments were great, but my favorite would have to be when Trixie turned a tea cake into a tea cup with puppy legs and she called it a teacup poodle:3! Get it?:3


And then the teacup poodle shows up later randomly in town, it's so cute and random I love it!XD

Spike was perfectly portrayed in this episode, being the voice of reason while also being sassy, supportive, and fun to Twilight as the good assistant/dragon he is:)

As always, it was great having Discord back being his trollish self;)

While I would have loved to see him in both episodes and while I would have appreciated more Fluttercord (naturally), it was great seeing him again since it seems like forever since we've seen him and I can't wait to see more of him this season:) Wait a minute 0-0 If Discord is usually only in two episodes per season...does this mean that he's going to be one other episode this season and that's it?!:0 Noooooo!X0 Calm down, maybe this premier doesn't count and he will be in more than one episode later this season:) Yeah, I'll comfort myself with that tonight:) Anyway, probably his funniest moment in the first episode was that during the pink heart of courage (get it? A Purple Heart reference?;)) Discord creates a duplicate of himself to cheer on for himselfXD

Although...you know what would be funny?;) Just to make it more Fluttercord for my sake?;) Instead of a Discord clone cheering for himself, we should have the cheering for Sonci Rainboom Fluttershy from Season 1 cheering for Discord in the back and take pictures of him for the scrapbook later XD

And then she can cheer "That's my hubby, I mean, my best friend up there!:D" And then, Discord waves back with a smile and whispers to Trixie or Starlight or Thorax "That's my wifey, I mean, best friend out there;)" Haha lol soooo hard!XD
I just love love how Twilight is no longer or at least not showing signs of being annoyed by Discord anymore:D Yes frickin finally progress!:D They can actually be friends oh my gosh, and it took us how long?!XD But seriously, it's great seeing Twilight smile and laugh at Discord's jokes and treat him as a friend:) In other words, Friendship is Magic BD

I also really love the new friendship dynamic between Discord and Starlight:D While Discord and Trixie have a more snarky relationship, with Trixie still hard on Discord like Twilight use to be, Discord and Starlight are surprisingly great friends <3 Daww Fluttershy must be so proud:3 Anyway, they were really fun together and I hope we get to see more of this interaction in the future episodes. To y'all shippers out there, don't you dare ship Starlight and Discord -_- I know the TrixieXDiscord backlash wasn't bad, and shouldn't worry, but still my fellow shippers...don't you dare -_-

I actually have a cool and fun idea for a future episode, whether for Season 7 and beyond, here it is: (Tell me what you guys think in the comments below;)) I'm thinking that the episode we could take the episode with a Tuesday Tea at Fluttershy's cottage (or maybe they have advanced to having a twice a day meeting and having Thirsty for Lemonade Thursdays;) Haha lol let me dare to dream;)) Anyway, it just gets over or towards the end of it, and Starlight shows up to pick up something or drop something off. Discord gets excited in seeing her, suggesting a new prank idea or something fun for them to try chaotically back in his dimension or somewhere in Ponyville. Starlight agrees and says it sounds like fun, and Discord asks Fluttershy if he can go, and Fluttershy reluctantly says with a smile "sure". After they left, we see Fluttershy feeling alittle left out. Sure, she is happy for Discord's new friendship with Starlight but she wasn't expecting their friendship to take off so quickly and that Discord would be so eager to pursue after spending with time (with this all being played subtly of course). I can see some funny scenes of Fluttershy talking about this to Angel, and he's just like "And we should care because...?"with an arch eyebrowXD

Maybe we can have Fluttershy make a plan to spend time with Discord the next day or so and show Discord that she can do fun pranks and do chaos like he & Starlight can. The next day, Fluttershy carries out her plan by meeting with Discord somewhere in Ponyville or in his dimension, trying her hardest to show that she can be a fun trickester. But then, suddenly, Starlight comes by where Discord & Fluttershy are in order to drop off something Discord forgot or something like that. Angel, who is companying Fluttershy in order to help her to be a proper trickester, sees Starlight and decides to distract her from Fluttershy & Discord. And he does so, but also indulges alittle in his little crush with Starlight too and getting alitte distracted by thatXD

Anyway, Fluttershy is struggling to be a trickester and Discord sees this and wants to get at the bottom of this. He asks her what's wrong, she tells him and how she feels guilty about feeling this way. Discord comforts her and assures her that no matter what new friends come to him, with pranks and more, his heart will always return back and treasure his friendship with Fluttershy which meas the most to him <3 Plus, he will add how he enjoys spending time with her the most because he feels the most comfortable with her, he can be himself around her, and all that:) Meanwhile, Starlight escapes from Angel and gets to Discord and Fluttershy. Then, they all spend the rest of the day together havign tea and doing small fun chaotic pranks:3
Sooooo...what do you guys think?

In terms of Celestia, this premier probably gave the best portrayal of Celestia that we've ever seen and it's a portrayal that pretty much every fan can get behind on:) She was still the kind and benevolent ruler and teacher and princess she is, with some of her trollish yet all knowing humor, yet with some clear struggles and doubts and flaws she has to deal with. Signifiying that she learns through experience but that she has to almost learn on her own cause there is no pony above her to be her mentor/guide (supposedly. We still need confirmation if Starswirl is her mentor or not, or at least somepony like Starswirl like her father or her mother or just somepony). This scene down below is my favorite out of these two episodes because it shows Celestia at her best and gives us a bit of background on her:

But this scene brings up alot of questions: How did Celestia know that Twilight needed to go to Ponyville and meet the girls specifically? Or was that a guess on her part to keep her in the safest part of Equestria? Did she know that Twilight was going to be a princess or not? Does she have magical foresight or is it the Tree of Harmony telling her everything or just following her instincts in teaching? Ahhh, so many questionX0! But overall, the only critique I would really say is that...we were promised a Celestia episode and I don't think this is that true Celestia centered episode we were promisedXD Hopefully, we will either this season or in the future;)

In terms of Starlight and Trixie, again like I said, Trixie was one of the funniest things about this episode and her humor was just in top formXD Plus, her friendship with Starlight is fun and wonderful as always and it develops as Starlight learns a new friendship lesson:)

What was this new lesson you say? Well, it was all about not keeping your anger inside. Especially, if you are angry with your friends. Not only was Starlight taught not to, as the title suggest, "not bottle things up", but also that it's okay to sometimes be angry at your friends if they have hurt your feelings or done something you don't like. Although Trixie did annoy Starlight in this episode, but she did not mean to because well she's Trixie:) She's an ego focused on herself then others, so it's harder for her to see if she has hurt other ponies feelings or not. In other words, she's learning:) Starlight learns that healthily expressing your anger and frustrations with your friends behavior when the time is right doesn't destroy friendships. Sometimes, friendships are damaged when anger is kept inside. And I'm glad that the episode presented this great moral and developed Starlight's character this way:)

Haha lol I love all those scenarios that Twilight put Starlight in when coming up places of where to send Starlight toXD From teaching changelings to getting stronger peace relations with dragons and Ember, to doing alchemy spells with Sunburst:D I swear, that would be amazing this season if we get to explore all these scenarios with Starlight throughout this season since Starlight is still sticking around Twilight this season:) Honestly, I was surprised that this premier didn't make Starlight go off her own as the premier episode planned her out to do. As much as I'm thankful that the show didn't do that because if they did it, it would be like "what's the point of bringing Starlight in if we're sending her off right away? Plus, I think she needs more friendship lessons because she still got some left-over insecurities from being a former villian.", but at the same time, I am now genuinely curious as to where Twilight would send her off to and what Starlight would do next:0 CURSE YOU EPISODE FOR MAKING ME CURIOUSXD!

Haha lol now it's been a conspiracy for some time now that Starlight might become an alicorn princess as her ultimate destiny like Twilight. BUT, I honestly don't think that it's going to happen. I honestly think that Starlight will become something like Starswirl the Bearded, becoming a great wizard of sorts:) And I feel like Sunburst will do too in a sense, but not as great as Starlight because she's the magical unicorn you guys;)

Also, one thing to add: I love the visuals and melody of the new song premiered in this opening to the new season;) It's like an awesome PMV:D

I like that episode idea with Fluttercord you have. That way Fluttershy would understand what Discord went through in the season 5 episode "Make new friends but keep Discord" and I think they should also add the part where Fluttershy finally says that she loves Discord with all her heart and that she wants to be with him forever.

And I DON'T think Starlight should become an alicorn what she did in the season 5 final was just PURE EVIL AND TERRIBLE she was hurting the timeline and the Tree of Harmony.

And just to let you know I think the Tree of Harmony is actually an ancient half unicorn half mythical deer pony who gave her life to save the world from a powerful and dangerous male alicorn who went evil trying to make her his queen and I just know she is still alive she is just sleeping right know waiting to be awaken when something BIG is coming and I mean BIG.

Starlight is an okay character to me that is all I will ever feel about her for sometime maybe.
